Built inside a 1929 mansion that presumably once was financed by Al Capone, the restaurant serves a menu of traditional gourmet dishes including Brie en Croute, Blackened Salmon Oscar and Black Thai Duck. The mansion that houses the restaurant was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 and still features the original escape hatches and underground tunnels that were used by Capone to transfer liquor during the Prohibition Era. In 2001, High Point received the "Best Gourmet Meal in Tennessee" award from "Tennessee" magazine.

- LLLolly LambertNov 11, 20254.0It was excellent but this time wasn't this best she got our order wrong but she was busy he ordered a salad instead of the lobster bisque soup and he got the soup we didn't say anything so our bad I guess but the steak also had too much sauce the visit to highpoint was the lowpoint this visit..and also they need to up play that it was once al capones " alleged" house!!! Thats the only reason we come and what makes it amazing they down play that now! But thats what makes the experience fun!! Yes he was a gangster but hes gone now so have fun and up play that!! Thats the only reason we started coming have someone dressed as him even make it a more fun experience that was and the food has kinda lost its luster...we were disappointed this time its lost its spark 😏

Also while I know our watress was busy ,when I told her my baked potato was wrong she grabbed it in her hand and took it back to the kitchen which was kinda shocking. And lastly what kinda gourmet restaurant that charges $50 per.person is gonna charge you to use you credit/ debit card. we got out ticket and when we went to pay and got the receipt to sign it was almost $3 more. . Come on a cc use charge ,you all can do better . Also the parking lot if you wish to call it that was very dark, and we had to park in a dirt lot next. to it becaue we couldn't find parking there . I know it may sound like im nick picking but remember its up to $70 a person her , I expect more for that price

Rolls were awesome, steak shrimp meal awesome, Alfredo good but nothing outstanding good size portion, salads goods and good size portion for being side w meal and lobster bisque soups was good.

- SISee You InhaleOct 30, 20255.0Great restaurant, very cool atmosphere and history surrounding the house. Early dinner; opened with fried green tomatoes which were perfectly seasoned. My wife’s Lobster bisque was on point as well. I had a blackberry salad which I would highly recommend. My wife had a ribeye and I went with a local mushroom special which was incredible. Loved our server Teri, she did a great job working a room that filled up quickly. She was genuine and not the Eddie Haskel type we normally get at nicer restaurants. Anyhow, it’s a cool place and well worth touring after your meal; upstairs as well.
