Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

"EPIC FAIL" in my opinion. Instead of Whataburger its more like "WAIT" on a burger. The burger wasnt bad but, the fries were cold and rubbery and the time it took and service were terrible. I wouldnt recommend or go back.

So disappointed in this Powell, TN location. Hopefully this is just new store issues and they will get things figured out. I was using Drive Thru outer lane. No one ever responded to that side, so I had to drive around the building again and use the closer lane. Finally got to place my order. It took way too long for my order to be prepared. Customer in front of me pulled out of lane and left the restaurant. I got finally got my biscuit and gravy. Neither were warm, they were tepid at best. Biscuit was gummy inside. I might give them another try sometime and hopefully they will get things figured out.

Fries - good but not better than McDonald’s Staff - very friendly but not nicer than Culver’s Speed - None, slow, slow, slow Seating - inadequate, stressful race for seats Cheese Burger - nice Lg. Diameter bun & smash burger. Almost a two hander. Fresh veggies. But not fresher than In-N-Out. Maybe they were under staffed today since they had an Armed Guard handling out eat in orders or maybe that’s how to avoid slow food complaints! I’ll try them again but I’m not in ANY hurry since Whataburger isn’t either.

I am a native Texan living in Tennessee and I used to talk highly of Whataburger. Every one I've been to outside of Texas has been a terrible experience and this one is no different. For this place to be as new as it is, the whole restaurant was a mess. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted by a spilled milkshake at the door and had to step over it to enter. There was a manager that was sitting on a bench outside who came back in about 10 minutes after we entered so I know she had to see it. It was still there when we left. Every table was dirty and there were fries and other trash throughout the dining area. The two front employees were standing at the counter with their jackets off their shoulders. One dropped a box of cups and it sat there for the next 15 minutes while we ate. Of course, some of our order was wrong and I had to show them on the ticket. No ketchup was brought with our order even though we had to order it with our meal on the kiosk. The syrup to carbonation ratio was off on the left hand side coke dispenser, the right one was better. For the price of a Whataburger meal now, I expect better. I'm tired of recommending Whataburger because they are all terrible now. Do the franchisees even pay attention to these reviews???

I used to live in Fort Worth Texas but now I have to live in stupid Ohio. The last time I had Whataburger was in 2011 when I was down there visiting. They used to pride themselves for being only in Texas, Id heard that they were expanding. Tasted as good as it ever did. Now that I've told you stuff that you don't care about ill get onto my review. We were driving north on I-75 from Atlanta when I saw the Whataburger billboard, missed the exit of course but I did turn the car around. I got a double, fries (girlfriend stole most of those) and a chocolate shake. So much juicy goodness, I closed my eyes for a few minutes to try and bring myself back to better times but then I remembered that I was driving at high speeds in heavy traffic so I thought it best that I open the eyes and concentrate on the road. Lobby was closed for whatever reason so there were cars in the drive thru wrapping around the building but the line moved pretty fast. I didnt get anyones name but the female voice on the intercom, the guy at the window and the lady at the end who handed us our food were all super friendly. Armed security guard keeping an eye out for trouble and keeping us all safe was an unexpected nice touch. Thank you Mr. Security Guard, Im guessing that you don't hear that enough. If anybody has stuck around and is still reading this I just want to HIGHLY recommend that you go there a minimum of 4 times a week. Breakfast, lunch, dinner they got it all. Only thing problem I had was that I didn't see the Whatacatch (fish sandwich) on the menu. Not sure if its now a seasonal thing. Discontinued or good chance I just didn't see it on the board. Not sure how many times that I'll be finding myself road tripping thru the Great State of Kentucky but Whataburger will always the stop for nourishment. This part is for the Owners, shareholders, staff, employees and and one of Authority that I have failed to mention: Please please pretty please in the name of all that's holy please expand in to nortwest/west central Ohio Dont bother going to Cleveland or Columbus, they have enough stuff. Thank you Dave W
