Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Hear me out, Whatvurger as a company is great. I've enjoyed their locations multiple times when I was in Oklahoma. This newer location on Cumberland is just rough. To be clear, the staff are great and do their best. While they did forget my apple pie and brownie in the order today, I understand why. They are super busy all the time. For most locations, the store could handle it. Here, there is no lobby. No system to organize the students into a reasonable formation. The restaurant seating area is crammed and NOT children friendly because of the crammed space. Don't bother bringing a wheelchair or stroller inside, there is no where to go with it. After what was supposed to be a quick in and out experience (place order online, pick up inside, head back to work) turned into a 30 minute ordeal, I just won't go to this location anymore. When Whataburger opens another location near me, then I'll try them again.

It was my first time there. I have never been to a fast food restaurant that from order to eat was less than 10 minutes. The cashier(i wish I had gotten his name) was the most friendly person ive ever met. My husband kept saying its just how he remembers from texas. 10 out 10 highly recommend

I LOVE whataburger however this is the 3rd time this location has been a joke. I ordered 2 taquitos to go. There were no other customers in the business when I ordered. It took 27 minutes for my 2 TAQUITOS. at one point the entire work force completely stopped so they could all write down there order for another business for lunch that was close by while I was still setting at a table waiting for my to go order. STAY AWAY from this location

HORRIBLE SERVICE , rude to customers, takes too long for an order , nasty dirty lobby , Reggie is flirty with all younger customers while they are waiting. Overheard him call a former employee a “prostitute” and laughed in her face when she said she didn’t like that. They also decided to fire that same employee for defending herself against sexual harassment after the comments were made by customers who heard the “joke” also. Horrible staff members they are rude , not helpful , and food is ALWAYS late and not right most of the time. Dawonna is the best employee they had and they got rid of her. Good luck if you decide to go and order. I don’t support bullying or bad business idc how hungry i am !! WORST LOCATION AND EVEN WORSE MANAGEMENT !!!

This is not how a what a burger is suppose to be! We have been to many different locations across the USA and this one is very disappointing. Floors in dining area were slippery with grease and very dirty, not a clean table insight despite it being empty and every table was available. LOTS of flying insects ( gnats and flies). Went to wipe a table for us to sit and there were no napkins available and no staff to assist when attempting to ask. I waited 20 minutes for our food and it was just awful! Burnt patties and extremely salty fries, the cheese wasn’t even melted. The burgers were lacking appropriate toppings. Went for ketchup and there was none, no straws and no lids for the drinks. The drink machine flavoring was completely off. Pushed coke we got sprite, pushed sprite and we got a dirty sprite/coke mix. Let’s just say was not worth our $50 bucks. Very disappointed.
