  3 stars because of add on cost, changing beans for rice should not cost 1.25. Adding side small 1/4 cup of queso to a meal that has queso just not enough, $1.49. Add jalapeno .75 That is stupid to be nickel and dimed. Food and service was good though.

  For the prices there's far better restaurants. Cost aside, the food was sub par. The barria tasted like boiled London broil, the carnitas tasted like old petrified chicken? Lol and the salsa (I know, who cares?) tasted like marinara. Beyond that service was fine. Place was mostly clean and the food was edible. It's downtown Sumter so you get what you get there but for that kind of money you should go into Columbia.

  We used to go to El Paso frequently as the food, service and drinks were all good. Over the last 2 years, there has been a decline in the overall experience. The margaritas that were great became sub par and syrupy. The service is always someone new and learning- never a familiar face. Last visit was the last straw for us. The salsa had a fermented sting to it and clearly was very old, the beans flavorless and the chimichanga was changed from a shredded chicken to a weird processed chicken and still frozen in the middle. If we wanted frozen meals we can go to the grocery store. It's very disappointing as we used to love the place, but can't justify another trip there or risk food poisoning.
