Walked in and immediately got seated! Had two Thai teas that were more tea strong which is what we prefer. Also never had it in this slush form so that was a fun twist.
Spicy beef salad was immaculate with a good amount of spice and the beef was very tender. The pad Thai was on the dryer side (which we also prefer) and had so much flavor. You could really taste the garlic in both dishes.
The Hat Thai Fried Chicken also caught us off guard with the chicken being extremely juicy and the yellow curry with roti hit the spot.
Overall amazing and attentive staff, flavorful food and nice ambience! We’re from Long Beach so our expectations were high and they exceeded them. Would definitely come back:)

The food was a complete and thorough disappointment, albeit overpriced. The food quality and portion sizes cannot justify the prices, even if they were 50% lower.
We came to Farmhouse because we wanted great Thai food for dinner, and Farmhouse had the best reviews when we searched.
The place was busy, but we were lucky and got seated right away.
We ordered drinks (the cocktails are night-club priced), the $18 samosas, and a $18 vegetarian salad to share as a starter. There are just 3 small samosas in the order; they appeared to be way over-fried, and were too dry and crumbled apart when we cut them. The salad was slightly larger than a side salad and quite dry, served in a banged-up, chipped plate.
The taste of the salad and samosas was about a 2-3 out of 10.
The main course was Pad See You, and the worst $36 fried chicken dish (Hat Yai Fried Chicken) we have ever had.
The Pad See You was OK, and the best meal of everything we had that night. The Hat Yai chicken was just like the samosas, way over-fried, too dry, and it was served with something reminiscent of a folded, flaky, oily tortilla on top. We could have had way better chicken in a KFC!
On the chicken plate was also a ball of the blue rice, a VERY SMALL bowl of curry sauce with 3-4 tiny pieces of potatoes, and the tiniest ramekin I have ever seen, with sweet chili sauce.
Unfortunately, the staff was too busy to come and check on us, so we could not ask for more chili sauce and had to dip the dry chicken in the curry.
I found the waiter and ordered a Mango Sticky Rice dessert to go, and he promptly handed me the check to pay. I should have known better and checked the desert before we left.
When we got back to our hotel, and I opened the box, there was a small ball of their signature shtick - the blue rice and 6-7 thin little pieces of not-fresh mango lined up along the wall of the box.
Everyone knows that when you go to a fast food restaurant, the food you will receive will not look like the pictures, but we expected that the food would be amazing in the highest-rated Thai restaurant in Portland. In searches, the meal prices are shown to be in the $20-$30 range, which we thought was not high for such a highly regarded place, but after paying $150 for a very underwhelming dinner for two, the menu at this place should be discounted by at least 50%.
Maybe at some point, this was a great restaurant with great food.
Sadly, this is no longer the case. We will never go back.
We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience here! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting with a fun and vibrant vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable — they made excellent recommendations and made us feel right at home.
The food was exceptional — authentic Thai flavors with fresh, high-quality ingredients in every dish. Every bite was perfectly balanced in flavor and beautifully presented. The portions were generous, and we absolutely loved everything we tried.
Whether you’re here for a casual lunch or a special night out, this place is a gem. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Portland! Highly recommended!

Stopped by Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine in Portland and honestly, it was great all around. The place has a cool, fun atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable right away—nice energy without being too loud or over the top.
The service was solid. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and on top of things without hovering, which I really appreciate. Felt like they actually cared that we were enjoying ourselves.
Now the food… that’s the real win here. Everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. You can tell they don’t cut corners. Every dish we tried was delicious, and the portions were more than satisfying.
All in all, great service, great food, and a great spot to bring the family or go out for a good meal. Farmhouse Kitchen is definitely a place I’d come back to again. 👍

I drove all the way 35 miles to eat at this Thai restaurant, and it was a huge disappointment. When I ordered, I clearly asked for the food to be very spicy, and they said okay.
When my papaya salad arrived, it was not spicy at all — it was super sweet, tasted mostly like lemon, and had no real Thai flavor.
The grilled chicken was even worse. It looked like it was boiled first and then sauce was poured on top. The chicken did not look properly cooked — I could even see blood, and it also had a bad smell, which is completely unacceptable and unsafe.
The restaurant is advertised as Thai, but the staff cooking in the back were not Thai, and the food did not taste authentic at all. This explains the lack of proper flavor and technique.
This experience was a waste of time and money. The presentation might look nice, but the cooking skills are not there. Very unprofessional and disappointing.
