If you go to a New York deli like the one they are inspired by here, you are presented with a sandwich among sandwiches. Not here: my sandwich ran out of contents before the end of the bread, and I was left with a bite or two of mustard bread. The taste is on point throughout the rest, though (though the Benny's Brisket could use more horseradish punch), so at least I could leave with the NYC itch scratched.

We have come here for their sandwiches before (their Turkey Bacon Club is what dreams are made of) but we decided to try their bagel breakfast sandwiches today. I got their egg and cheese with a garlic bagel and scallion cream cheese. My husband got their bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. And oh my goodness, they both were incredible! Don't even get me started on their loaded backed potato salad. Best potato salad of my life. Case in point, Ben and Esther's is amazing and I cannot wait to come back immediately!
