    Our dinner was very good, for the most part. The only issue for me was that my steak wasn't cooked as well as I wanted, but was still ok. My wife had the short rib dinner and she said it was very good. Our server was excellent. Once she realized that we didn't want to be rushed, she was attentive but let us take our time. The noise level was fairly high, but we could still talk ok.

    I went here for my birthday for the first time and absolutely loved it. Everyone in my party loved their meals, the server was so busy but was really sweet and professional and made me feel special on my day! Great atmosphere and decor too, casual yet elevated

    We have been here many many times because the food and service is consistently great. However, tonight was a major disappointment. The food was surprisingly poor; my carbonara was dry with a burnt egg on top, and my husband’s cheeseburger was so dry it was difficult to even eat. ​Even worse was the service. Our server dropped off the food and completely disappeared until the bill arrived. No water refills, no quality check, and even when we paid, she never asked how the meal was. Unfortunately after this experience, I don't think we will be returning.

    Placed a pick up order by phone for my daughter (celiac) and myself. Ordered landing salad, and arancini for her, nachos for myself, and cheesecake to split. No issues with any of the food, but was surprised the receipt didn’t show an allergy, or bag or dish wasn’t marked ‘gluten free’ etc as we’ve experienced at other places. I made sure to stress the allergy and which dishes my daughter would be eating to the individual taking the order, but does not seem he cared to pass it on and protocols for cross contamination that could have been taken when preparing were perhaps not, I’m not really sure. I specifically called rather than placing an online order for this reason, so was disappointed in that part of it.

    I've visited Baxter's Landing twice for happy hour, ordering the same steak frites both times. The difference was shocking. First visit (Nov 14, 2025): Server kept conversations short, rarely checked in, was hard to flag down Questioned whether I was ordering the happy hour item... during happy hour Received noticeably small portion (see photo 1) Left unsatisfied, had to buy additional food afterward Second visit (Dec 19, 2025): Server was friendly, attentive, accommodating Significantly larger portion of the same menu item (see photo 2) Actually left full and satisfied The portion difference was so dramatic that I ate before my second visit, expecting the same insufficient serving. I was proven wrong - when prepared properly, their steak frites is actually a solid meal. Photos attached show both meals - same item, same price, completely different execution. Your experience will vary significantly depending on timing and staffing. I'm uncertain whether I can expect consistent quality on future visits.
