I shared my comments 9hours ago about poor burned food and poor service in a slow restaurant where a simple chicken parm sandwich and fries could not be executed but was burned to a crisp and tasted like ash under cheese that look completely normal and well I appreciate the owner of the store at orangeville reaching out to me I have decided in my best interests that a followup is not necessary anymore I am not going to be back to harveys or swiss chalet again I am done being commented about laughed at talked about and treated badly by harveys and swiss chalet staff I ve recieved poor food quality many times and yes I understand people make errors but giving people burned food terrible fries and things that make them throw up after meals is unacceptable and laughing and making people wait because you don't like them which I ve faced in swiss chalet and harveys many times is brutal. I am not wanting to be a crybaby or complainer but if you went through what I described I m sure you'd be upset too. No I ve been sick too much from poor food and I ve waited too many times being disappointed after long wait times it's sad that I m at this point because I come at atleast 3 times a week most times but I m at my breaking point. After 20 plus years being a regular I ve decided to call it quits. Well take care I wish you well in the future. But like I said I won't be back. if I need food there are plenty of options that are out there for the price I am paying thanks so much.

So last night when I came into swiss chalet I had my order taken by dawn it was just after 8pm or around that when I ordered i gave dawn a coupon for a free garlic cheese toast and got a chicken parm sandwich with fries and upgrade of chalet soup in the process letty the manager said hi to me at the time there was only 3 tables maybe 10 people in the restaurant not busy at all in fact quiet as the 10 people had their food .I was seated and waited 10 mins to order which was fine. Dawn proceeded to get me a water and and then I waited another 15mins for my soup. 10 mins later I got my garlic loaf by another server at this point I could hear the kitchen and letty the manager say ok guys see you later and I heard dawn say goodbye to her. Dawn was laughing with some other girl in the kitchen she then came out to me 10 mins later and asked what entree I ordered by this time I finished my soup and garlic toast as I was starving I thought it was ridiculous that dawn took so long to ask my entree if she didn't know as I was already there 25 mins or more but I told her my order and she laughed and said sorry I never wrote down your order SEAN. It was then another 10 mins to get my chicken parm sandwich which had burned bun burned chicken and clumped fries that were small burned pieces and terrible I left them. Letty was gone so I did not report it but I was not happy this is not the first time I ve gotten bad food at a slow time. When the bill came dawn had charged me 5.99 for my 1.99 soup upgrade. So after all that I would have paid 4 dollars extra on top of everything that happened with my food. Its OK after last night I have finally determined not to go to swiss chalet or harveys anymore and I ve been a customer (regular ) for 20 plus years.
I still like Sharon Kourtney letty and some of the rest of the staff but everyone has their breaking point and I guess this is mine after 20 plus years of being a regular I will now dust off my feet and take my bussiness elsewhere. Thanks so much to swiss chalet for 20 years. Good luck to you all I ll never be back or set foot in this restaurant again. I m sure some will smile now. Thanks for your time SEAN 👍

Checked the hours online, said closed at 10, arrived at 9 and was told the restaurant is closed, drive-through is open until 10.
Didn’t eat there and probably never will because I was looking for a place to sit down and enjoy my food indoors. Things like that should be clarified online, there’s a wealth of information you can post there instead of disappointing customers when they arrive at the restaurant.

What a fantastic experience. We were in town for a couple soccer games and decided to go as a team. I called ahead a couple days and was told that they don't take reservations but because we were a large group (22 ppl) they would try and accommodate us. Unfortunately there was a mix up and they had us down for the wrong date so when we arrived they were not expecting such a large group. However, Vita came to the rescue and found a way for our party to be seated promptly and together and even though they weren't expecting us our food came out quickly (and delicious). Thank you Vita! and thank you swiss chalet

I wanted to specifically thank your hostess, Jennet.
My mother has mobility issues and we often run into difficulties at various venues with accessibility. Today we chose to dine at your establishment for a late lunch. Upon arrival there were no handicap parking spots available. This is fine, we recognise that many people have a need for accessibility. Instead I chose to park briefly, directly in front of the building, flip on the hazard lights and walk Mom into the building.
Before I even made it to the door with Mom, Jennet had spotted us from her hostess stand and was was at the front doors, welcoming us and holding doors open for us. Mom has been to the establishment a few times. Maybe enough to become a regular as Jennet immediately recognised her, remembered her preferred seating area AND her preferred server. She immediately showed us to the perfect booth and helped get Mom settled as I nipped back outside to park properly.
As someone who has been an aide to persons with hindrances to mobility for most of my life, it is so wonderful to see staff immediately jump into action to assist in accessibility like Jennet did today. We are immensely grateful as ease of access is one of the biggest hurdles we encounter in our daily doings.
Aside from Jennet's exemplary service I would also like to thank our server, Donna. Her recommendation of the BBQ Rib sandwich and side Mac and Cheese was spot-on, Mom loved it. Donna was charming, efficient, and considerate with an impressive knowledge of the menu.
Thank you again for accommodating us today in such an exemplary manner 😁
