Went to Harvey's store on Fennell and Upper Wentworth St. I will not go back to Harvey's as all the staff were of one culture. Harveys has a sign saying Canadian business but does not hire Canadian's. If a business is not diverse and hiring Canadian young people I will not spend my money there. Do better Harveys.

Enjoyed the dine in experience with good service and the burger tasted great along with the poutine and onion rings.

I didn't see any staff members I could relate to and the lack of diverse representation made me feel unwelcome. Canadians of all backgrounds represented in North American fast food chains make the experience more enjoyable.

On Friday December 12th at around 8ish I placed an order at the drive-thru that required three separate transactions. The employee mistakenly combined the order into one bill and told me that separate transactions could not be done. This was confusing, as I have completed separate transactions at Harvey’s locations many times before. I calmly stated that it was not a problem and that I would come inside to have it corrected. When I entered the restaurant, I asked to speak with the supervisor. I believe her name was Nikka or Niskaa. When I asked for her name, she refused to provide it and removed her name tag. Instead of assisting with a solution, she became hostile and raised her voice while speaking to me. I respectfully asked her to stop yelling, but she continued and then refused to serve us altogether. As a result, four burgers and four fries were prepared and wasted, which is concerning from both a customer service and business standpoint. Refusing service after the food was already prepared, combined with the manner in which the situation was handled, was extremely unprofessional for someone in a supervisory role. To be clear, this does not appear to be a company policy issue. After leaving this location, I went to another Harvey’s location, where I was able to complete separate transactions at the drive-thru without any issue and was served in a professional and respectful manner. This leads me to believe the issue lies specifically with the handling of the situation at this particular location. Overall, the interaction left me with the strong impression that my request was met with resistance rather than assistance, and that the situation escalated unnecessarily due to attitude rather than policy. This location appears to have significant customer service challenges, and staff . Particularly those in supervisory roles like Nikka and would benefit from additional training in professionalism, conflict resolution, and respectful communication with customers.
