  We came in with 4 adults (one with mobility restrictions) and 2 kids. My family and I were traveling nearby to attend a celebration of life, and we wanted to keep the conversations going somewhere comfortable — so we chose East Side Mario’s. I’ll be honest: Saturday during a dinner rush is usually not my ideal scenario. But as someone who’s visited several locations, I can confidently say this is my new favourite. Not because the others were bad, but because the service here was so genuinely great it deserves real recognition. The bathrooms, entryway, and dining area were all extremely well maintained. We saw a few birthday celebrations while we were there, and the enthusiasm from the staff was consistent every single time — the kind of energy that actually makes you smile. The hostess (whose name I forgot to ask) deserves a huge shout-out. The second we walked in, she was already juggling multiple parties arriving at the same time — and she handled it effortlessly. Friendly, warm, organized, and completely on top of things. She set the tone for the whole visit, and she was fantastic at keeping everything flowing smoothly. The table was constantly refuelled, and the manager (Rahul) took such sincere care in monitoring my uncle’s dietary needs. Our server, Emily, was phenomenal too — she anticipated our needs before we even realized what we needed. 😂 The food was fresh, drinks were never empty, and the all-you-can-eat soup/salad/bread was the most consistently maintained I’ve EVER experienced at an East Side’s. They even had accessible washrooms, which I’ve never seen at one before. But honestly? What stood out to me the most was the energy of the staff together. No tension, no hostility, no burnout vibes — just people who genuinely seemed to enjoy working with each other. It made the whole environment feel comfortable, family-friendly, and welcoming. Even the little chatter with other customers in the washroom added to that “community restaurant” feeling… the kind of place families choose on a Saturday night because it just feels good to be there. This was exactly the night we needed to round out the evening, and it was absolutely worth the money. 😀 Definitely recommend this location if you’re looking for a solid, stress-free night out!

  We had an amazing experience at East Side Mario’s in Burlington! Rahul, the manager, went above and beyond to make our visit exceptional. Our food was served incredibly fast, everything was delicious, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Rahul made sure we were well taken care of the entire time — truly the best attention I’ve ever received at this restaurant. Highly recommended!

  if i could give one star i would, came with my boyfriend for our anniversary and when we walked in didn’t even get a hi or anything, when the guy (manager) finally did seat us after waiting about 10 mins he picked his nose even took a second to grab our menus to pick his nose right in front of us touched our menus didn’t say a word and just put us at the table. waited 25 mins and nobody even greeted us to the point we got up and left. if he picked his nose in front of us no shame imagine how dirty the kitchen is.

  Let me start by saying my family are creatures of habit. We definitely have places we love to go. I havent been to East Side Marios in years and finally convince my family to go and did we ever regret it. Service was ok. My food was pretty good. But my wife's was terrible. Her food came out oily and wasn't what she though she was getting. She apologized to the staff and asked them to take it away. They asked if she wanted something else but at this point she was pretty turned off and she left. I was surprised that at no point did a manager come by to check in on our issue. One did come by but she had no idea what had happened and i honestly didnt want to get into it with her. My wife and I both used to work service and the rule of thumb to us was if there was any problem big or small tell a manager and get them to talk to the table. Felt like they didn't really care to do any of that. If I was surprised that no one talked about it with us I was even more surprised when it still appeared on our bill at full price! I know we ordered it but I also feel that if we didn't eat it the least they could have done is discount it. Like how do you charge mark up on a meal we didn't even eat? Anyways left very disappointed with the experience and we will definitely not be back at this location or chain altogether. Maybe we should have just gone to boston pizza like we normally do...

  Went a few days ago with my Nona and couldn’t believe the attitude from the waitress Karen. She couldn’t be bothered to do anything and whenever we asked her for something she had a lot of attitude. Loved the hostess but wow I was shocked by the attitude from Karen. I strongly believe in tipping wait staff but she rubbed me the wrong way completely. If I return definitely asking not to be sat with her. Also keeps the straws in her back pocket??? So unsanitary and constantly touching her behind with the same hands that were carrying our plates. Do better Karen!
