Been coming here since 2019, but in the last few years the service and quality has gone extremely down hill. I ordered takeout and there was so much stuff wrong with the order.
- It should not take over an hour to deliver food to us (mind you we live in Barrie) so not sure why the wait too so long but ok
- We were missing our Swiss chalet sauce that I paid extra for.
- Chicken tasted rubbery and just weird don’t know what’s that about.
- Salads were gross and unacceptable. Lettuce we brown and for some reason smelt bad.
- Looked on each box when opened and tried to scan to enter a contest and said offer ends on Dec 29th. Literally false advertising and says “This contest has ended. To see our recent winners, please visit here.”
- The sides for fries and Mac n cheese were extremely small and fries tasted like they were days old.
- Our extra bread was for some reason in an individual bag instead of being in one of the boxes and the bad itself was wet.
Overall, we ended up throwing most of the food because it was just gross and made us lose our appetite. Don’t waste your money here COOK AT HOME!!!

My husband and I ordered takeout and were absolutely furious with the pathetic portion sizes and the disgraceful quality of the food. After an outrageously long wait to finally get our food, it was a complete letdown. The sides were disgustingly tiny and tasted stale, as if they had been sitting around for days. The salads were covered in mold and brown spots typical. They forgot our extra Swiss Chalet sauce—again, typical! And for some inexplicable reason, the chicken this time was rubbery and revolting. We ended up tossing most of the food in the trash because it was so utterly disgusting. Every single time we give this place another chance, it just keeps getting worse and worse and worse and worse and worse. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this nightmare of a Swiss Chalet at all costs!

Took the Family to Dinner ( 6 people ) 2 people got Caesar Salads and 2 People upgraded their entrees to the loaded fries. When the Meals came we were advised that they did not have bacon which is in the Caesar Salads and the loaded fries, we weren’t advised before but after the food came out, OK it is what it is. Multiple people ordered Ribs that came with butter knives not a steak knife and 1 napkin each no wet wipes or extra napkins, I did ask a server for some steak knives and wet wipes but nobody came back to the table. Then ordered dessert and the cookies and cream cheesecake arrived plain, I stopped our server and they stated they must have forgot I’ll be back, never saw them again til the bill. I figured they wouldn’t have charged us for the upgrades at least since we didn’t get them, well I was wrong we were charged for the upgrades also, no sorry no nothing really. I didn’t want to make a scene so I paid the bill and left a tip, I decided to fill out the questionnaire and did receive a response but now I’m wishing I didn’t. They responded immediately stating they would forward this to a manager and someone would be in touch in 2 business days, well it’s been longer then 2 business days and they finally replied today to see if I was satisfactory I guess with their reply, they stated someone had called me & left a message and emailed me, I’ve checked my junk mail nothing and no one from Swiss chalet called or left any messages, just seems to be a huge waste of time. Sorry for the long post but I would hate for anyone else to have to deal with this restaurant

I have to say I’m extremely disappointed. Worst $90.00 I’ve ever spent. I’ve eaten at Swiss chalet (specifically the one in
Bayfield) since I was a kid… I ordered delivery (5:30pm)
They called to tell me the store was out of ribs but they can sub wings for same price…. When I pointed out wings were $4 cheaper online they said I can cancel the order. Then when they put me on hold they hung up. Guess that’s the problem with using call centres.
I went back online and re ordered…. The online tracker suggested delivery would be at 6:37…. Showed up after 7:00pm and everything was cold. I understand winter weather can slow things down…. But this was nuts plus the restaurant is only a few hundred yards away. Sad to say the Manager on duty was well aware of the issues we had since we spoke to him on the phone…. Apparently didn’t care enough to put any rush on the order.
As I said… worst $90 I’ve ever spent… I’ve enjoyed this location for 30 years… at this point it will likely be that long before I return for a piece of cold chicken and some stale fries.

Terrible takeout experience this evening. It was supposed to be ready for 6:05, but I didn't get the food until 6:45pm. On the app and takeout screens, it was still showing the order as not ready when I got the food. I bring the food home, and it's missing the dinner rolls and sauce. I'd complain the fries are soggy, but that's standard Swiss Chalet affair. This location must be completely mismanaged. I won't be back. We only chose this restaurant because we had a gift card for it, but that was more of a curse than a blessing. I tried calling to complain but they don't pick up their phones. Go to any other restaurant.
