However, my most recent visit left me genuinely disappointed. It wasn’t particularly busy during lunch, but the entire experience felt off from the start. I ordered the chicken sliders, which comes with a choice of house salad or fries. I chose to upgrade to a Caesar salad — something I’ve had before and enjoyed — but this time it was extremely underwhelming. The “greens” were chopped iceberg, slimy, and unappetizing. The dressing tasted off, and there wasn’t a trace of Parmesan cheese. After a few bites, I had my husband taste it, and he agreed the salad mix was poor quality — especially concerning since the same greens were on his burger. How is this a Caesar salad?? When I mentioned this to our server, the response was disappointing. Rather than offering an alternative or even acknowledging the issue, they seemed more surprised that I was unhappy with the salad than willing to resolve it. So the check comes and I’m shocked to find out that I’m charged the $5.00 for an “Urban Salad” upgrade and had to ask for it to be removed — which, given that I didn’t eat it, felt awkward and unnecessary. Mind you, I still paid $14 for three sliders and left without a proper side. I left feeling like the quality and service had really declined. I’ve always liked this place, but this visit made me hesitant to return. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback — I’d love to see the attention to quality and customer care return to the level it used to be.
