- JJJennifer Johnston2 days ago5.0We got Prime Filet this weekend with the coupon that we received in the mail. We prepared it side-by-side with a Sam's Club Prime Filet and there was no comparison. The NY Butcher Shoppe Filet was outstanding. If you want a premium steakhouse experience at home, don't hesitate to stop in there to get your meat. In our opinion, it was on par with Ruby's so definitely worth the price.

We’ve passed it a few times and it’s always looked intriguing but we haven’t had time to go in until today. Upon entering, you can tell how well kept and clean the establishment is. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! I’ve been to my fair share of meat markets/ butcher shops and sometimes they do tend to have a meat smell to them. There was absolutely no smell at all which was extremely impressive. The meat selection was great & all of the cuts were individually wrapped. They also had a good selection of frozen and refrigerated prepared items on the back wall. There was a small selection of desserts and some wine and champagne in the back corner. The pricing was a little bit on the higher side, but I do think that it’s on par with other local meat markets that we’ve been to so it wasn’t a major concern for us. You pay for quality!! Parking- there was a small parking lot outside, which had plenty of space to come and go. It’s also located in a good area of Montgomery where several great restaurants are
- JDJackie DickinsonOct 29, 20255.0The NY Butcher shop has been my favorite addition to downtown Montgomery! Its setup is really nice but the food is really the best part. We have had the premade fresh and frozen meals and not only is it affordable ( $16-$25 to feed 3 or 4 people), it’s also super tasty. Add a side salad and it’s cheaper than any uber eats or delivery. I’ve had the blackened chicken pasta, the Shepard’s pie, the mushroom risotto, and the Caesar salad (all really flavorful). Sorry I haven’t taken any pictures! Definitely putting it on my rotation for weekly meals!
