Cap City has been consistently good for decades. The meatloaf is delicious and it is most often what I order. This time I got the chicken pot pie and it was excellent. I was with a group for work. The wait service was attentive. They said their Alfredo chips were one of their most popular appetizers. I personally didn't love them. This is an upscale restaurant so the prices are a bit higher.

Our server was attentive, friendly and very efficient. The food seemed freshly prepared and homemade. The yeasty hot buttered rolls were ridiculous! There menu is broad but not huge. From meatloaf to burgers and salmon. The prices are comparable to other Dublin restaurants but their portions are generous and the fresh ingredients make them stand out. No canned nonsense. And the atmosphere of the old metal train car diners makes it feel like it's been there since the 50's but with an updated modern twist. We got there for an early lunch (11ish) and by noon there wasn't an open table, even on a Wednesday so keep that in mind. I noticed a work lunch in progress in their private room so it looks like it's a good spot for something like that as well. Considering how packed they were it speaks well of their fresh cuisine. I highly recommend this casual diner. I just regret not getting pictures of our order.
And please be aware that the Riverside entance is actually the rear emergency exit of the building but the actual main entrance is on Longshore!

We had a reservation for 2 at 7:30 p.m. and arrived on time, but the experience went downhill fast. It took 30 minutes just to get seated, and once we were finally at our table, no one bothered to come over. Not a hello, not a drink order — nothing. We were literally about to walk out when a passing server noticed us and apologized, saying our assigned waiter was “missing.” That should’ve been our first clue.
When the food finally arrived, it was just as bad. I ordered the hot and sour calamari, which showed up cold, soggy, and completely unappetizing. The main dishes were mediocre at best — we only ate them because we were starving at that point.
Between the terrible service, the awful food, and the complete lack of management awareness, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Absolutely not worth the money. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed.

I’ve always avoided this place because I’ve always heard it’s diner food at not diner food prices but this is one of the most pleasantly surprising restaurant experiences I’ve had. The atmosphere is great, big booths, nice bar, dim lights, cozy and not too open floor plan. The daytime bartender Chris is a rockstar. Never a dull moment and from the looks of it, he’s not capable of being in a bad mood, definitely added 100+ positivity points to the experience.
The food is what I was most worried about because I’m really not a fan of American diner food, but this was a non issue. Yeah they have staples like shoestring fries, burgers, chicken pot pie, and meatloaf, but they also have a wide array of innovative and with-the-times dishes that make the menu palatable to almost anyone. Typical yet limited Cameron Mitchell bar menu, wide array of liquor, decent amount of wine, crafty yet palatable cocktails.
Anyways this place went from a steer clear in my mind to a looking forward to going back, so definitely 5 stars!
