We went to Morton’s with another couple and our son for my friend’s birthday. This was our first visit. They had a special holiday drink 🍹 that was very good with proseco, vodka and strawberry. My second drink was a French 75 and that was the best French 75 I ever had. My husband had a smoked old-fashioned that was very well made. He ordered the steak with baked potato and asparagus. He enjoyed his food very much. I had the salmon and vegetables which consisted of broccolini and carrots. The vegetables were delicious, but I requested the salmon to be blackened and on the menu it said it had a maple bourbon glaze. The salmon came out dry. My friend ordered some onion rings with a truffle garlic aïoli, and they were delicious. I used some of the truffle garlic aïoli to dip my salmon in and it was much better. I talked to the server about my son because he has some food aversions and she showed me in the menu where he could order off the bar bites menu. He ordered The Smashburger and fries and loved it! Being that was a Saturday night we did wait for a while for our drinks and food, but the server, Paradise, was always very polite. Our water was always refreshed. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with white table linens, and black silverware linen napkins. Very comfortable and chic with a large wine wall for pictures. I have included our pictures. Overall, a nice evening, but for the price, the salmon should have been blackened to perfection with the glaze as noted in the menu. ( the reason for 4 stars and not 5).

For as much as this cost it was not any better than Texas Roadhouse. The food tasted fine, but not worth $55 for just a steak (sides and salad extra of course). We had a reservation, but stood in the doorway waiting for half an hour to be seated. The kicker is that we had been texted that the table was ready and indeed they finally showed us to a table that had been empty the whole time. Food tasted fine, service was fine after that. It was very noisy (bar like noisy) in the entire restaurant due to the acoustics. Not the kind of quiet birthday dinner I thought I was taking my husband to. In my opinion this place is very overrated. For $250 (2 meals, 1 appetizer, 1 alcoholic beverage, and tip) I expected something better. Like I said, food was good, just not worth the price.

The service was wonderful! The only thing I had that I would love to have again is the baked potato, I also had a lobster tail with a steak and it was bland. If it was seasoned to my liking the food would have been perfect! The workers are great though, made me feel welcomed!

I've never had a "less than GREAT" meal at Morton's Steak House in Cleveland. Our family goes for special occasions and just because we want an exceptional dining experience on any ordinary day. It is our go-to place.
