I came to this restaurant with my husband for a drink and appetizer but the service was really good. Was told under new management and the service showed. The manager Antonio was very attentive. The service was great and we will be returning again soon.

Although I come for lunch which is always amazing I sat down with the family today and the food was just as great. The atmosphere and the staff were very nice and fast service and it was a constant check in with us from our server and the manger. This has become one of my favorite places.

My name is Khabir Legend Muhammad I’m a door dash driver. It’s always a honor to pick up my orders from Don Ramon because I’m always embraced with courtesy and respect and to me that means a lot. In order to run any business with a high level of respect and integrity falls heavily on the shoulders of the manager the manager regulates the temperature of that environment I will like to give honor and respect to Antonio the manager and his employees at Don Ramon. Thank you and stay blessed Khabir Legend Muhammad — peace

Speechless!
We visited on 11-12-25 Don Ramón on Richmond Rd, and everything looks so different now, it seems like there are new owners or new management. My husband and I used to be regular customers at the Mayfield location, but we had an unfortunate incident where the server attended us under the influence of alcohol, so we decided not to return.
Now we’re working just 3 minutes away from Don Ramon at Richmond, so we decided to give it another try, even though in the past we also had a bad experience.
Since the moment you walk in, the restaurant looks beautifully decorated, very clean, and the staff is extremely friendly. Most importantly, (teamwork).
The manager Antonio, who welcomed us, was super nice and friendly, (I believe he used to be a bartender at the Mayfield location). Our server Jose was excellent, we never had to ask for drink refills, he was very attentive. Every employee, from the food runner to the manager, works as a team, and that’s what I mean by teamwork.
That says a lot about the restaurant, from general management all the way to the dishwashers, everyone works as a team. That’s why I believe this location has different owners or management compared to Mayfield. Without a doubt, we’ll be coming back at least once a week! 😁
We also really liked the new idea of showing food photos on the TV, it help us to decide what to order and really tempts the palate.
The new dish “Piña Mar y Tierra”, absolutely the best of the best, 100/10! 🌟

I took my boyfriend out to celebrate Sweetest Day today because he loves Mexican food and Don Ramon’s is one of my favorite restaurant chains. We both ordered tacos, my boyfriend got the street tacos and I got the fish tacos. My boyfriend was a huge fan of his, mine were okay. The inside of the taco was good but the shell itself tasted like communion bread. It tasted stale and lacking in flavor. I ended up just dumping it out and eating the fish and extras.
The most egregious part of the meal was the service. Our server was Aida and she provided terrible service. She took so long to greet us that the host needed up taking our drink orders. The only time we ever saw her is when she brought us drinks and our waters, which I had to ask for even though it is restaurant standard to bring waters with alcoholic beverages. Once we were finished eating we didn’t see her for at least 20 minutes before we were able to flag her down for the check. It then took another 10 minutes after asking for the check for her to come retrieve it. We noticed there was an automatic 20% gratuity which would be no issue except for the fact that the menu makes no note of this and the server did not inform us of this either. I have been to Don Ramon’s dozens of times at multiple locations and have never been charged an auto gratuity for a 2 person party. I honestly would have had no issue paying it if her service wasn’t terrible. I spent many years as a server so I always tip well when I receive good service because I know what it’s like to depend on tips.
The manager removed it with an attitude and they spoke about me in Spanish directly in front of me which shows what kind of people the management and select staff are. I still tipped about 12% because I assume they split tips and the other staff members who actually attended to us deserved it, but our server, Aida deserved nothing. If this was not a chain I loved I would never go back. I will never frequent this location again due to the poor service and rude management.
