Items missing from the bone soup. I ordered soy milk for 2.99 but didn’t put in the to-go box (I had a pick-up order). The restaurant phone number cannot get through and no one was responsible for the mistake. Super disappointed. Won’t come back ever.

Waited over 20 mins for my take out, all dine in orders were made first for some reasons. They also raised their price to 16.99 per pound which became not so cheap, ordering 1.6 pounds costed me $30 something. Tables, bowls, and tongs were all really greasy. No service at all but default tip at 18%? Don’t know what’s going on but the employees all had a very annoyed look on their face. Also having employees that don’t speak English in a store in manhattan just sounds crazy to me. I asked a girl with glasses about how long my order is going to take and I couldn’t understand a single word she said, really bad attitude. They do have many 5 star review because you can get a free soda if you post one. Despite all that, what made me completely disappointed at last was finding a piece of hair in my food. This is just disgusting… Would never come back and wouldn’t recommend to anyone else

Here’s a polished 85-word English review for Yang Guo Fu Malatang in Midtown, New York: ⸻ Yang Guo Fu in Midtown offers an authentic taste of spicy Chinese Malatang. The broth is rich, flavorful, and customizable with a wide selection of meats, vegetables, and noodles. The ingredients are fresh, and the portion size is generous for the price. Service is quick and friendly, making it perfect for a casual lunch or late dinner. The restaurant is clean and modern, bringing real Sichuan street-food vibes to Manhattan. Highly recommended for anyone craving bold, comforting flavors.

The dry Mala hotpot is not that flavorful. Expensive for what you get, they have a surcharge for using a credit card and rice. I ended up paying $29 for 1.2 pounds of food, no rice and a drink. The layout isnt great either. Everything bottlenecks at the cashier.
