Surprised to find this evolved Wagamama in midtown NYC compared to the simpler noodle bar I first tried in London over a decade ago. This place has a more extensive menu and table service. We were a party of 2 and tried the pork gyoza, the tuna tataki and the bang bang cauliflower from the shareables menu. Of these 3 dishes we enjoyed the last one the best. The other 2 were good but not outstanding. We also ordered the chicken mandarin salad which we found very good. Lastly we had the grilled duck ramen. This was good but not comparable to ramen from the great ramen shops in the city. Overall, the restaurant serves good Asian fusion food, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is lively and festive for a Saturday evening.

My sister and I came here for lunch before taking in a matinee at City Center. As a vegetarian/mostly vegan eater, I’m always looking for a place to eat with omnivore friends and family, and this establishment certainly fit the bill! I enjoyed the vegetable katsu curry, which was flavorful and delicious. My sister got pork and apple bao, which she was madly in love with, and chicken pad thai, which she reported was delicious. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful! Stephanie and David were fabulous! I would certainly come back here the next time I am in the area.

Sehr nette Leute, das Essen war sehr gut. Die Lage ist gut. Konzept ist asiatisch, d.h. Essen mit Stäbchen.

My girlfriend and I recently tried this place during our vacation to NYC. We saw raving reviews on google, and were excited to try it out. We got the spicy szechuan noodles and the beef tantanmian, as well as the drinks, power and nourishmint. The drinks were extremely sweet. I would not recommend the ones we got, and the tap water had strange particles floating around. Additionally, I asked for no cilantro on both entrees, and the szechuan came with cilantro regardless. The broth for the beef tananmian was acceptable, albeit a bit salty, whereas the spicy szechuan was way too salty and not enjoyable to eat. I had to dilute the broth with water to even eat the noodles, and even so, the broth was too salty to drink. The beef in the tantanmian was very very good, but the ground beef in the szechuan noodles was crusty around the edges and not great. Overall, the tantanmian was acceptable, but the szechuan was frankly a massive disappointment, especially for this price point.
