This review is long overdue. It's been 4 years, and as I was staying just down the street, this was my go to place for drinks every night for almost two weeks. Really got to know the absolutely lovely staff (the two Frankies), as well as the incredible and affable manager (owner?) Treated me with amazing friendliness and professionalism. Plus it is absolutely the most gorgeous yet cozy bar I have ever seen. Don't know if any of the people I met are still there (I live in Maine)...but I will most definitely return next time I'm in town. Just cannot praise enough.

We came here late on a Saturday night just for a drink at the bar. They didn’t have space (understandable as this place has amazing decor and an elegant atmosphere). As we were walking out a lovely lady (Liz) asked if we wanted a table that had just been vacated. I said we are just having drinks and they were still happy to give us the table! The drinks are amazing!!! Mike (our server) was attentive and checked in with us frequently. Overall, the staff are soo friendly and delightful - there is free popcorn too and the drinks are reasonably priced. We have lived in New York for almost 2 years and cannot believe we have never been here before. Honestly it’s a truly great atmosphere and great vibes!

Sal (waiter) and Elizabeth (manager) were both amazing and accommodating. We had reservations for the patio, but due to the cold didn’t want to sit out there even though it would have been fine with the heaters. Elizabeth checked the reservations locating a table that the party will be in later and we can sit there until then. Sal made some great recommendations. We had the devil eggs with caviar, meatballs, brussel sprouts, bolognese pasta, and for dessert we had crème brûlée and breading pudding with ice cream. My tummy is very happy at the moment. Very happy

The food was really 10/10. I enjoyed the burrata and especially the bolognese. They added some sour cream to the bolognese which was an interesting touch, I thought it went very well with the dish. What really stood out was the service. I was there with a birthday party of 8 and the staff was very attentive to our orders. They didn’t get a single drink or plate of food wrong out of all of us. Also, they gave us dessert and shots of tequila on the house.

To visiting tourists - stay away from this place. We came here to have a few drinks during “Happy Hours” - not too busy. When we asked for the check we were charged almost twice of the amount advertised for Happy hours. Unfortunately since our spoken English is not that good we tried to argue with the south American bartender for a while but at no avail. He figured that since we were tourists he could take advantage of us. Sad to find unprofessional places like this in such great city.
