Our party had a reservation for 3ppl couple days ago at corner store and we were treated very poorly by the management(Lara). I don’t what is her issue but very unprofessional and we dine in very high end places. Own restaurants and bars ourselves. The waiter was very understanding and was trying to help solve our situation but she(Lara) insisted on not accommodating us.
We had an additional person on our party(he wasn’t going to eat) that was joining us for drinks only. Her reason was “the restaurant has full capacity”, meanwhile there were plenty of free space. We made sure to let her know that the fourth person won’t eat, just drink but she wasn’t even listening to us.
Very disappointed and one of the worst experience in my life!

I visited Corner Store last night and had a great experience - the food was great, and our waiter and the entire staff could not have been better or more welcoming! As I was leaving, I asked the hostess if they ever donated gift cards, etc to nonprofits for silent auctions, etc, and she directed me to submit an inquiry on their website. I had already done that, and told her I did not receive a response. She then told me they don't really donate, just because they get so many inquiries. Totally understand! That said, I do want to mention that everyone around us at the bar were friends of the owner or bar/waitstaff that had a totally comped experience, and mentioned that they visited frequently. It was disappointing to see this and then hear they don't help non-profits - it seems like this might certainly be attainable, and I welcome the chance to discuss :) Thank you!

Oh honey, The Corner Store is not playing. I tried the Caesar salad, pizza bites, steak, and chicken malaise, and let me tell you… each bite had more personality than half the people in this city. The Caesar salad? Crisp, tangy, and basically a salad that whispers, “Yes, you deserve this.” Pizza bites? Little pockets of cheesy rebellion. Steak? Cooked like it’s on a first-name basis with perfection. And chicken malaise… let’s just say it’s so good it should come with therapy because your taste buds might start crying happy tears.
NYC may have attitude, but this food? It has swagger. 10/10, would devour and brag about it immediately. 🍴✨

What an experience.
If you’re used to eating out in New York, you’re familiar with the feeling of underwhelming disappointment. The long wait to get a reservation, only to be treated as a pain by entitled wait staff, and overpaying for food that rarely lives up to the hype.
Corner Store is the complete opposite.
It over delivered in every aspect of the experience. From the moment you walk in and you’re greeted by busy servers who take the extra time to stop and say “Hi, welcome to Corner Store.”, to the ambiance, to the food, just everything. 10 out of 10. I hope you all go, but if you don’t I will more than happily take as many reservations as I can get my hands on.
Als definitely get the lobster rolls and the apple pie.

I tend to be cautious when it comes to restaurants that generate a lot of buzz, especially in New York, but this one more than delivered. Saying I was impressed would be putting it lightly. From the ambiance to the food to the service, everything far surpassed my expectations.
Let’s start with the service. Our waiter, Mel, was phenomenal. Warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, he guided us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations that did not disappoint. We felt genuinely cared for from start to finish. He elevated the experience beyond just the food.
It’s rare that I leave a restaurant loving every single dish, but that was absolutely the case here. We worked our way through about five courses, each one exceptionally prepared and plated. Standouts included the crudo (a must-try, thank you Mel!), the Caesar salad, the lobster rolls, and the wagyu. Honestly, it’s hard not to list everything. To top it off, the cocktail menu is every martini lover's dream.
And whatever you do, end the night with the Samoa sundae.
