Love temakase, service and hand rolls are always great and a great price. This last visit was after work on a Thursday. Not too busy so we were seated immediately. Would definitely recommend.

Sensational.
Great for a date or going solo. Not good for a big group. Seating can only be at the bar.
Blue crab roll is insane. Baked crab and scallop also amazing.

Overall this food is really good and the atmosphere was wonderful! The only knock is that the service could be better; for example, I’m pretty sure my wife and I either received our rolls in different orders or got different roles altogether even though we ordered the same set menu. Granted I could this staff was new because there were people training them. Regardless it didn’t deter us from our experience. The crispy rice yellowtail and the salmon with citrus yuzu was our favorite!

Walked in on a Saturday night without a reservation and we were sat right away. I was with one other person and we each ordered a crispy rice and a set of hand rolls.
The positives: the crispy rice was great - super fresh and well seasoned.
This is where the positives end. I eat a decent amount of sushi and hand rolls and the rice always matters - the rice here was inedible, it was truly almost a paste with a terrible texture and flavor. After the second hand roll (where the person I was with still hadn't received any??) we told our waitress very nicely that the rice was overcooked - she told us that just sometimes happens which is a pretty crazy response. I actually couldn't eat the rice and just ate the fish (which again, was totally fine) out of the hand roll but very evidently left all of the rice and seaweed on my plate.
At the end of the meal I was given the device to pay on and it prompted me with an 18, 20 or 22% tip. I was VERY confused because the menu states that the tip is included in the price of the food (similar to kazu nori or sugarfish which are no tip establishments). At no point did the waitress mention that tip was already included and this would be additional, however it was in fine print on the menu given to us. I felt awkward and left an additional 18% tip which made the total bill come out to over $150 for 2 people while all the food was still clearly uneaten on my plate.
To finish it off, the sushi chef came over to us after we paid and apologized for the rice, which he acknowledged was bad!!! Why on earth would you continue to serve rice which you yourself noticed wasn't up to the restaurants standards. I couldn't believe he served food that he knew was not up to the standard, admitted that to a paying customer, and not a single person there tried to right the situation by either offering to remake the food with new rice or comping the inedible rolls. Bummer because I could see how this place could be tasty but I will definitely not be back
