I accidentally used a credit card I didn’t intend to use and immediately asked if they could void the transaction. The attitude I received in response was completely unacceptable. They refused to void it, spoke to me dismissively, and behaved as though I was asking for something unreasonable. I ultimately had to request the manager, who thankfully was polite and handled the situation appropriately. But the fact that it required managerial intervention for such a simple correction is troubling. For a place charging $15–$20 for a single slice of cake, the service should reflect the price point. Instead, the staff behaved as though customers should feel grateful simply to be served. This is not the level of service or professionalism one expects—or should tolerate—at an establishment positioning itself at this level. I hope management takes this seriously, because experiences like this drive customers away.
