It was average at best. I had a pretty high expectations eating at the planet Hollywood in times square and it definitely failed those expectations. I'm used to planet Hollywood having a lot of movie memorabilia throughout the entire restaurant however there was literally none of that here. Very disappointing and you can find far better in times square.

No longer what planet Hollywood used to be.
I have been visiting many of them around the world and they used to have in common that Hollywood ambient with items from the movies hanging from the walls and ceiling.
Now it is just another fast food place with a couple of big screens playing music videos and servers with hawaiian shirts.
Food is not the best, neither the worst.
The cheesecake is thick and kind of tasteless, not at all the creamy n.y. cheesecake.

I miss the old Planet Hollywood with the movie memorabilia. I understand that everything now culturally has to be streamlined and generic. Its my Millenial heart that cries out for the 90s esthetic lol.
But don't get me wrong the staff were so enthusiastic and very friendly and accommodating especially with the abnormally long wait during the holiday season. I am a NEW Yorker and work in a school so patience is something you just need to have. The food was also so yummy. I would come again just for the food but definitely not during the holiday rush. One of The big huge video screens was not working so it dampered the allure for me even more.

We came here after the bus tour with drink coupons, there’s a minimum purchase so we got an off coupon drink and fries but our waitress only honored one of the coupons then never came back. The manager had to give us the second drink (which was completely different than the first drink, (well the second since the first cocktail the server brought wasn’t the correct drink covered by the coupon) they gave a vodka cranberry on the coupon first, the second they gave us the actual winter berry cocktail listed on the coupon). Before we could even resolve the drink issue we waited 20 minutes for the waitress to come back after receiving our fries but she never did so we had to leave the table to find someone that could give us ketchup and ranch for the fries, by which time they were cold. The ketchup tasted sour and off so we avoided it. It was a complete nightmare and literally no service, we had to flag down someone not our waitress to checkout. Do not recommend.

In the heart of Times Square, Planet Hollywood NYC is currently delivering a movie-esque dining experience, enhanced by festive holiday decorations that transform the space into a high-energy holiday gala.
Here is the breakdown of the what we tried:
* Penne alla Vodka (10/10): The undisputed star of the night. This dish achieves perfection with a sauce that is decadently creamy and pasta served exactly al dente.
* Candy bar Ice Cream Sundae (10/10): A literal showstopper. This "head-sized" mountain of scoops and toppings is a legendary grand finale that is as fun to look at as it is to eat.
* St. Louis Ribs (9.5/10): An incredible value at $39 for a full rack. These ribs are impressively flavorful, juicy, and fall-off-the-bone tender.
* Blackened Shrimp & Guac (9/10): A vibrant, high-flavor opening act. The bold char on the shrimp pairs beautifully with the fresh, creamy guacamole.
* Burrata Sandwich (8.5/10): A sophisticated scene-stealer. The luxuriously soft burrata and crisp ciabatta provide a fresh, high-quality contrast to the heavier entrees.
* Prime Rib Sliders (6/10): While tender and juicy, these served as a modest supporting act that couldn't quite compete with the powerhouse flavors of the other dishes.
* NY Strip steak with truffle butter 8/10. Perfectly cooked medium rare with umamu creamy butter. The brocolini was good and the mashed potatoes were ok.
From the festive atmosphere to the massive portions, Planet Hollywood NYC remains a high-energy blockbuster that actually delivers on the plate.
