We booked a "bougie" dinner here for a birthday and as part of our exploration of vegan restaurants in NYC. As my first omakase experience, I really enjoyed watching the courses be made. Unfortunately I think the restaurant is probably trying to get too many seatings out of the evening. Our 6:15p group wasn't seated until 6:30p and the course felt quite rushed, with us being asked to vacate our seats around 7:20p. The chef making omakase didn't really have the opportunity to chat with us as she busily made rolls though she did have a couple minutes of conversation with the guest seated directly in front of her. We ordered a tea pairing which was not timed according to the menu for pairings and when we asked for the tea we were being served to be explained we were told to read the description on the menu. Our last tea then came out after the course was completed and we were asked to drink it outside the restaurant space. Also, our group had three couples, one of which ordered the regular menu and not the bougie and had to sit and watch the 4 of us be served courses they didn't order - which felt a bit awkward. Perhaps the table reservation times could be separated by type of menu ordered to prevent this? I would go back for the really delicious food and unique experience as a vegan. But I think there is room to improve as far as guest experience as this restaurant finds its way.

We were the last and the only reservation for the night. So we got a private experience from the chef. Incredible flavor combinations with all the courses. I don’t really like seaweed in general but this place made me look forward to each course with seaweed. The vibe and the drinks complemented the food well. All vegan and nothing is made to taste like meat.

We had a great time during the culinary experience this past weekend during our trip to NYC. The food was delicious and so unique. Chef Cam was very detailed in his description and friendly. Our reservation was at 5pm but the restaurant was still being cleaned and prepared. We weren’t sat until 5:20pm and the rounds came rather quickly. At 6:20pm, all 15 courses were already complete and we were asked to head out by a different employee although we were mid-filling out the check. Felt a bit rushed considering we were spending $100/person and had been sat 20 mins late since the restaurant was not ready to open. Overall, a nice experience and loved tasting the food!

Omakasees in NYC is an absolute gem for anyone looking for a fully vegetarian omakase experience! It’s rare to find a place that curates such a beautiful and thoughtful plant-based tasting menu. Every dish was super fresh and creative — the avocado nigiri and truffle tofu bite were my favorites. The vibe is relaxed but still feels special, and the chefs are really friendly and explain each dish as they go. Perfect spot for vegetarians

Great value for the food IMO, the dehydrated watermelon tartare was amazing and hit my tuna craving. Was a bit disappointed however when we first arrived, we had to wait 15min past our reservation time to be seated and the drinks we ordered came after the 5th of 11 courses
