  I love this cafe particularly the staff. I have never come across such a friendly and responsible team looking after customers with such care and attention. Their manager Diego is super friendly and at the same time very responsible and capable. The rest of the staff Artin and all the rest are extremely kind and caring! Thanks for being so awesome team!

  I *was* a regular here, and my order was quite consistent. Barista working today was incredibly condescending suggesting I needed to pay extra for caramel on a drink that already has it listed. Save yourself the trouble and go to Grand Daisy instead, better coffee and more down to earth employees who correct their mistakes instead of opting for ego.

  I came into Maman for the second time ever today and it did not disappoint! The food was good, the pastures were excellent and the service exceptional. Both my cousin and I ordered salads - I did the quinoa and sweet potato one and my cousin the beet root one - and both were good. My cousin enjoyed her breakfast sandwich and I enjoyed a side of eggs, which were nice and fresh. As far as the pastries, we recommend the chocolate chip cookie (one of my fav chocolate chip cookies around), the pistachio chocolate croissant, the almond croissant and the blueberry thyme scone. All were delicious and we recommend trying the lavender hot chocolate as well. All in all, I really enjoy this bakery/cafe and would definitely come back again and again.

  One of my favorite places in NYC! It is such a vibe ! You can tell all the workers are friendly to each other and it’s very rejuvenating to see ! Will definitely be coming back! Food was amazing !!! Cups and all plates are sooo cute !

  Love the ambiance of Maman and the food is good enough. It's not mind blowing but a good stop for quality, simple options. I came in on Saturday afternoon so of course the restaurant was busy. The staff was nice enough considering the busyness and we were happy to snag a table. Amidst the shuffle, my order and the orders of my friends were lost. We received a tarte that none of us had ordered and from there more chaos ensued. We notified the first waitress of the confusion and she did not come back to the table after that. We waited minimum 15 minutes for her to return as we saw her in our peripheral but she never did. It took us flagging down a different waiter for help. We explained to him that we were still waiting on our food. He left frantically and came back asking for our orders. It was easy to assume that our order had not been keyed in at all. We waited an additional 40 something minutes just for my friend's order to come out wrong again! By that time were famished but waited another ten minutes for the final and correct order to come to the table. Despite all of this, I wouldn't have been that upset. Things happen. However, it was the lack of transparency, and consideration that was surprising. We barely received an apology. We were met with mediocre customer service and no accommodations. Again it was a busy day but the lack of attentiveness or explicitness for a place as highly regarded as Maman was disappointing. Not only that but the food was cold by the time it came out. At the end of the ordeal when asking for a bag, a waitress had the audacity to tell me that usually they charge for bags upfront but she would do me a favor and give me this one for free. I understand it is a business expense, but please let me know how I would have prepaid for a bag when I was dining in and didn't anticipate bringing food home. It was nice of her to give me the bag, but the tone was one of admonishment as if I should've known better. Needless to say the food was not good enough to warrant the long wait and lack of customer service.
