The food was good when they brought you the correct food at the right time. The only reason the service received 2 stars is because the water was always full on the table. It started as soon as we walked in where they wouldn't seat 3 out of the 4 of us for dinner reservation. We were seated and without exaggeration it took probably 10 to 15 minutes before our drink order was taken then it took at least another 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. And two of the drinks were wrong so they had to go back and fix it. The third person ordered her drink and received the wrong drink. When are appetizer did arrive they also brought out one of the dinners. And then they took the dinner back to bring it out with the other 3 at least 20 minutes later. When they did give the dinner, they also brought out more brussel sprouts only to realize that it was supposed to be the spinach and they just swapped out the bowls. We were never asked if we wanted a second round of drinks. And then it took forever for us to get our check. So you can tell we were very grateful for the water on the table. I would not return nor recommend. It has good value for the price which is why they're probably pretty busy.

Halloween in the West Village is an experience! Made reservations at Little Ruby's...thank goodness bc the city of course was packed. Wait wasn't long and we were seated away from the front but with a window view so we can watch costumed pedestrians walk by. Our Pirate server was amazing! She checked on us often and offered perfect dining suggestions. I had gluten-free Ragu and loved the taste & texture of the pasta (wasn't spongey or gritty). For appetizers we had the french fries with truffle aoili and the sweet potato fries, both had the perfect crunch. The aoili fries was the winner. The other dishes included a huge burger and shrimp pasta. Everyone finished their dishes with no leftovers! For dessert, we had the chocolate cake with vanilla ice-cream. And to my luck, it was flourless...divine decadence! Great ambience with dim lighting, modern music playing in the background, and diners in their costumed best!

Came here with 3 friends as a walk-in for dinner. We were able to get a seat at the bar just fine. Bartender was great, she kept checking in on us. I ordered the creamy chicken pasta with rigatoni and it was cooked to perfection. The texture of the pasta was spot on and al dente which made the dish even more enjoyable. The whole dish was flavorful with plentiful chicken that was moist and soft. I'd go back there again to have that pasta just because of how perfectly it was cooked. Prices are really fair and not out of this world crazy expensive like other places. Decor was perfect, great ambiance and a night out for my friends and I.

Went here with my boyfriend for my birthday. They were able to seat us immediately without a reservation. Food was incredible and reasonably priced. They even came out with a special birthday treat for me on the house. The bill came out on a post card, which I love when restaurants do that. I will say it is a bit loud in there but overall we had a nice time.

Little Ruby’s a very charming and cute cafe/restaurant. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I am a huge fan of their interior design. They have lots of seating, good music, and good food. The service was friendly, but one of the girls seemed a little annoyed we were there. Perhaps she wasn’t annoyed at us or anything, but it just makes you feel a little unwelcome. The plates of food on everyone’s table looked so delicious, as well as the drinks. They have lots of healthier food options, tasty looking pastas and bowls. My husband got a fried chicken sandwich and fries with truffle aioli. The sandwich was good, quite juicy with the coleslaw, making it a more wet/dripping-on-your-fingers sandwich to eat. I think it lacked a little sauce, but otherwise it was really good. The fries were really tasty and crispy. This seems like a popular lunch spot, and very cute place for birthdays or little celebrations.
