- PHP H4 days ago1.0I had dinner with a friend here last night and luckily didn’t get salmonella poisoning. I ordered the peri-peri chicken and ate half of it before cutting into the second half to find it rare. I told our server and she took it back to the kitchen to continue cooking it. The bartender brought us homemade cantaloupe juice while I waited for my chicken to meet USDA food preparation guidelines. To say I wasn’t interested in eating the rest of the chicken is an understatement. It also felt strange that the staff didn’t have more of a reaction or apology. It felt casual to them while I went home hoping that in 6-12 hrs I didn’t feel the effects of food poisoning. A near miss.
