Lemon chicken. Butter naan. Perfect rice. Outrageously good stuff, my wife and I are completely obsessed with the lemon chicken. Are you the sort of person who will do that typical order an Indian for take away and you always get the same thing but most places don’t nail it quite right? Well they consistently smash the hell out of that puppy and we will be back again and again and again. Also the staff are really nice and there’s always traditional Indian music in the back ground. Quality.

I can’t say anything about the food since I couldn’t try it??? We booked the place for 20 people two weeks in advance and when we got there they had 5 different tables separated… expecting us to not sit together. Then while we’re trying to figure out a seating arrangement they’re letting other patrons enter and sit, taking away tables from our party of 20 standing outside in the cold!!!!!!!!!!!!
Horrible service, would not recommend honestly. Really disappointed.

I had a fantastic dining experience at Gazab Indian Restaurant and was impressed from the moment the food arrived. The presentation of the pani puri was outstanding — creative, fun, and definitely a highlight that adds to the overall dining experience. It’s clear that a lot of thought goes into not just the flavor, but also the visual appeal of each dish.
The ghosht was exceptionally good — tender, rich, and full of deep, layered spices that really stood out. You can tell the meat was slow-cooked to perfection. The dum biryani was another highlight, served with great aroma and authenticity, with each grain of rice perfectly cooked and full of flavor. It tasted just like a traditional biryani should, with the right balance of spices and perfectly cooked meat.
To end the meal, I tried the gulab jamun, which was served hot and incredibly satisfying — soft, warm, and soaked in just the right amount of syrup. It was the perfect sweet finish.
The ambience is cozy and welcoming, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a relaxed meal. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff were happy to explain the dishes and make recommendations.
Overall, Gazab offers a great combination of authentic flavors, excellent presentation, and a comfortable dining atmosphere. A wonderful spot for anyone craving well-executed Indian cuisine.

the food was shockingly mid. it just lacked flavors. also the naan was undercooked. the chicken tikka masala had thinly sliced meat in it, never had it like that before. I think it was undercooked too because the texture was off. my fiancé and I both woke up to stomach aches. also, we ordered sodas and lassi and they were both incredibly small for the price. also, the waiter repeated our order 3 times and still got it wrong like at that point just write it down. there’s so many good indian restaurants in the city, skip this one fr. but the vibe is nice.

I LOVE this place. The food is unbelievably good!
I like Indian food but here is Indian plus an “adventure”. They add unique touches of other cuisines and the result is SOOO GOOD and unique.
Try the lemon chicken and you will become addicted as I did. I live kind of far from here (upper west side) and I take friends and neighbors to experience this yummy food. It brings happiness to me….
A bit like that 1987 movie Babette’s feast.
Academy Award-winning film, 1987 "Babette's Feast," based on a short story by Isak Dinesen (Karen Blixen), about a French refugee who spends her lottery winnings to prepare one magnificent meal for a pious, austere community in a 19th-century Danish village. The banquet is a sensual, artistic, and spiritual event that transforms the lives of the villagers by breaking down their self-denial and fostering a sense of shared grace.
