The food was incredible!! The music, drinks, atmosphere, it feels like I’m back in my hometown in Spain. My waiter, Leo P, took such great care of my boyfriend and me. I will 1000% be coming back to Boqueria!! :)

I went for a late lunch to this restaurant. I really liked the place; service was great and very friendly. The food was great as well. We had a Paella with Mariscos, it's great size dish to split with someone else. For tapas we had Pulpo and Boquerones. I will be back, to taste other things on the menu.

It's perfectly decent Spanish Tapas. Nice decor, good service. The food is alright, nothing that will blow your mind but it's good. The Brussels sprouts is nicely caramelized and mildly charred, which is proper. The octopus was ok, it was tender but would have been better if the "skin" was crispy. Overall, would I eat there? Sure, if it's convenient, but wouldn't go out of my way to go specifically for it.

Boqueria on West 40th Street is an outstanding spot for tapas and drinks that feels like a quick escape to Barcelona right in Midtown, steps from Times Square and the Port Authority Bus Terminal. The tapas are beautifully executed, from perfectly crispy patatas bravas and pillowy pan con tomate to tender grilled octopus and rich croquetas that come out piping hot and well-seasoned. Larger dishes, like paella and charred meats, have deep, developed flavors and generous portions, and the sangria and Spanish wine list make it especially easy to linger over a long meal. The dining room has a warm, lively energy, with an open bar area, high-top seating, and a buzz that fits the surrounding theater district and nearby Times Square lights without feeling touristy. It works equally well for a casual date, a pre-show meal, or sharing a table full of small plates with friends after walking around Bryant Park or the Garment District. Staff are attentive and upbeat, happy to walk through the menu, suggest combinations of tapas, and pace dishes so the table never feels rushed, even during the busiest evening hours. Dishes arrive quickly and plated with care, and the team handles dietary preferences smoothly, which makes the whole experience feel polished yet relaxed. Being on W 40th just off Eighth Avenue makes it incredibly convenient if you are catching a Broadway show, coming in via Port Authority, or staying at one of the many nearby hotels clustered between Times Square and Hudson Yards. After eating, it is an easy walk to the bright billboards of Times Square, the calmer greenery of Bryant Park, or down toward Hudson Yards and the High Line for a post-dinner stroll. Value for the area Prices are in line with Midtown Manhattan but feel justified by the quality of ingredients, careful preparation, and the overall experience of sharing multiple thoughtful plates. For anyone who enjoys Spanish flavors, vibrant ambience, and a super-convenient Midtown location, Boqueria W 40th absolutely earns a 5-star rating.

Stopped here before a show and the vibe immediately transported me somewhere warmer than Midtown. Sat at the bar which turned out to be the move—great view of the action and the bartender knew his stuff. Ordered patatas bravas, gambas al ajillo, and the pan con tomate. Bravas had the right crisp-to-creamy ratio. Shrimp came sizzling and garlicky. The sangria was dangerously drinkable. Only knock: it gets loud when it fills up, so don’t come expecting intimate conversation. The “Boqueria Experience” menu is solid if you want variety without decision fatigue. Watch for automatic gratuity on smaller parties—caught that on my bill. Happy hour before 6pm is worth timing your visit around.
