The atmospere was incredible, and our table in the main room had the perfect view of the river surrounded by the fall foliage which set the tone. We enjoyed a delicious bottle of Rioja and loved the bluefin tuna starter, which tasted fresh with the yuzu ponzu. The octopus with chorizo and beans had a perfect texture, though the flavors were a bit more muted than expected. The smoked St. Louis ribs were messy but absolutely worth it with its rich, smoky, and delicious flavors. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. The location is also fantastic as we loved being able to stroll Main St afterward and explore the small shops. Overall, a wonderful experience and we’d love to try some dishes again in the future

Service all around was off. We didn’t receive utensils with our food, the food and drinks were both lacking in flavor, and the host seemed uninterested in engaging with us. The vegan pasta we ordered was not worth the price, and I would heavily dissuade vegans/vegetarians from ordering it in the future.

Terrible service at the restaurant. The food took an hour to come out. When we asked our server to check on our food, it was very obvious that they forgot to put in our order. By the time the food finally came, the steak was over cooked and not medium rare as request! We ended up missing our reservation at fishkill farms because of this lunch.

The Roundhouse is everything we wanted it to be. We stayed in the Roundhouse building in a very comfortable, mid-century inspired room overlooking the falls on Fishkill Creek. I imagine the negative reviews had a different hotel in mind. The restaurant was top-notch - the food was prepared and presented excellently. Our waiter, Jeremiah, was attentive without being overbearing. We will happily return to the Roundhouse!

This is a review solely for the restaurant. The food here is very good. We tried the crab cakes and the mushroom polenta and found both dishes to be excellent. While our server was nice, our overall experience was not great because the restaurant is not ADA compliant and the woman seating the patio initially refused to make a reasonable accommodation. The ADA requires that each seating area have a certain percent of tables/seats that are fully accessible to wheelchair users such as myself. The entire patio setup is not designed up to ADA code. First of all, the main entry is down a set of stairs. There is a way around this through a service elevator, but that requires someone to come unlock a set of side doors. This is a minor inconvenience, however, the restaurant has zero signage indicating what to do for ADA access, which is problematic from a legal and practical standpoint as we were walking around with no idea how to get in until I called the hotel and they sent a manager to help us. The patio is on two levels, with the upper level being flush with the hotel building and the lower level being down four steps. While the majority of tables on the lower level are wheelchair height, every single table on the top level is a high top. This is illegal as there is no wheelchair accessible seating at all on the patio. Seeing as there were several two tops available on the lower level, I asked the woman if they could just bring one of the accessible tables up to us, something that would take a staff member or two a couple of minutes. She literally said "I don't think we can do that. I can only seat you inside." something I cannot do for health reasons, but must be accessible regardless of the reason why someone wants to sit outside vs inside. She only relented when I told her they were breaking the law. To give pushback to a common sense solution you should have thought of yourself as an easy accommodation is appalling. Needless to say, it took a waiter no more than two minutes to fully set this up. While I appreciated this accommodation, this is only a band aid solution because there's a high top bar in front of where the tables are and if people are sitting and standing there, the waterfall view is blocked for wheelchair users, which is the location's main draw. Accessible seating needs to be provided permanently and in an equivalent manner so that it's not dependent on whether a particular staff member is aware of ADA law or not and so disabled people are able to have equal access to the core experiences offered by this space. The restroom is accessible with proper space and grab bars for wheelchair users.
