I’m a professional cook and usually will not spend money in a restaurant if I feel I can do just as good if not better at home. The food is really good and reasonably priced given the quality and portion. My fiancé and I took the teenager there for lunch recently. There were our table and another. I would typically think the service would be absent and the kitchen loud and rowdy. This was not the case at all. In fact, our server, Maia, was attentive and conversational without being overbearing. I would have expected the server, with a quiet dining room, to be sitting at a table scrolling on her phone. I did not see Maia sit down once! Did I mention the food is good? The teenager LOVES the fettuccine Alfredo and my fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. Maia did a great job helping us select wine too.

I called our Albuquerque, Buca di Beppo and Maia took my order, helped me sort out portion sizes, helped me arrange for pickup of my order, and overall, completely set me up. Maia made the process smooth and easy, was kind, friendly helpful, and most of all professionally competent and accommodating to my needs. Kudos to her for going the extra mile, sending regards and a "happy birthday" with the order. The food was great; a friend commented that my favorite, the Chicken Marsala is not generally something she orders, but really liked the Buca version of that classic. The Fra Diavlo was fantastic, as usual. Loved everything , and will keep it in mind for future gatherings. We had the best time! Huge shout out to Maia!
