Some meals are delicious. This one was unforgettable.
From the moment the omakase began, it felt less like dinner and more like being invited into a carefully crafted experience. Each piece arrived with intention, immaculate yellowtail, pristine lean tuna, and a spotted prawn so sweet and delicate it practically dissolved on the palate. The salmon roe burst with freshness, setting the tone for a progression that only grew more impressive.
As the courses unfolded, albacore, chopped tuna, scallop, and that perfectly glazed miso cod, it was impossible not to notice the precision behind every bite. The fatty tuna was decadence at its finest, the salmon rich and comforting, and the surf ’n’ turf an unexpected moment of indulgence that felt both bold and refined. Ending with BBQ eel was the perfect finale: smoky, tender, and deeply satisfying.
What made the night truly special, though, was the people behind it. Alex and Aiden brought warmth, passion, and an effortless elegance that elevated the entire evening. Their presence turned an extraordinary omakase into a memory one of those rare dining experiences you find yourself thinking about long after the table is cleared.
This wasn’t just a meal. It was a moment. 🍣✨

A truly spectacular omakase experience from start to finish. Each course was thoughtfully paced and beautifully executed, allowing every ingredient to shine on its own while still telling a cohesive story. From the clean, buttery yellowtail and lean tuna to the delicate sweetness of spotted prawn and the rich pop of salmon roe, every bite felt intentional and indulgent.
The progression into albacore, chopped tuna, and scallop was seamless, building depth and texture, while the miso cod delivered that perfect balance of umami and melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. Highlights like the fatty tuna and salmon were absolute standouts, luxurious, fresh, and expertly handled. The surf ’n’ turf and BBQ eel closed the experience on a bold, deeply satisfying note that lingered long after the last bite.
What truly elevated the evening, though, was the hospitality. Alex and Aiden made the experience unforgettable, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate. Their attention to detail and warm presence transformed an exceptional omakase into a memorable night. This is the kind of dining experience that reminds you why omakase, when done right, is pure magic. ✨🍣
My wife and I recently dined in at the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, and I would like to commend the exceptional service provided by the manager, Alexander.
Throughout the course of our meal, Alexander took the time to thoroughly explain each type of fish we were eating, offering insight into the preparation, flavor profiles, and origins. His knowledge greatly enhanced our dining experience. He was also attentive to my personal preferences and made thoughtful accommodations, ensuring that each course aligned perfectly with what I enjoyed.
As the evening progressed, we had the opportunity to engage in further conversation with Alexander. It became very clear that his role as a manager is more than just a job to him. His passion for the cuisine, the guests, and the overall experience was evident in every interaction. Rather than simply serving food, he curated a dining experience unlike any other we have had.
Because of Alexander’s professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care for guests, I fully intend to return to this restaurant with friends and family. As long as I continue to receive service of this caliber from him, this establishment will remain a top choice for future visits

My husband and I have been coming here for the past three years and have always loved it as our go-to sushi date night spot in Jersey City. Tonight, however, was a complete disappointment. We got the 17 course $100pp menu and most of the bites were bland and one or two were fishy. The wagyuni (which was usually our favorite) was one small portion of uni mixed with rice for FOUR people, topped with an overcooked piece of wagyu. At this price point, it felt like a miss. Not to mention, the couple seated next to us shared that one of them had a severe horseradish (no wasabi) allergy, but the chef served her pieces with wasabi multiple times and had to remake several courses. On top of that, the restaurant was uncomfortably chilly at 65 degrees in the middle of winter. We’ve loved having a special sushi spot in our city without needing to go into Manhattan, and we truly want this place to succeed. But after tonight, it’s hard to justify the value for the price.
UPDATE:
While we appreciate the reply from the owners, it is disappointing that the restaurant is not looking to provide some of their most loyal customers an incentive to return. I can’t see us coming back if this is the extent of the response we will be getting from management
Saying that this place is "AMAZING" doesn't do it justice! From the moment I entered the speak easy style restaurant I was immediately greeted by the host Aidan, coat taken and hung up, sat in a cozy nook while the chef prepped for our meal and given a very nice drink menu and was given my drink of choice (citrus Highball which was amazing!) In a speedy manner. Aidan was polite, well spoken, and as accommodating as could be! When my friend amd I were finally set at the bar, we were introduced to Chef Htike. Very light but well spoken gentleman who greeted us as we sat and introduced himself. With very little time in between he began crafting the first piece of the meal. I sat for the lunch special which is 10 different pieces. Each and every one were delicately and artistically put together, served and were told exactly what it was. Every single bit was better than the last!!!!! This man is a master at his craft and so very humble!!! My buddy almost had to drag me away from there kicking amd screaming because I just wanted more! We were not treated like customers, but like friends or family. I cant wait to come back!!!!! Thank you gforcthe best sushi experience Ive ever had, gentleman!
