  Had $30 take out rigatoni a la vodka, it was so salty that it was inedible.

  When we arrived, a wait staff was loudly berating the host in full view of guests. The hostess then checked our reservation and proceeded to seat us, but then went back for the menus and another party walked up so she checked them in, instead of seating us as we stood there watching (there were two hosts - the other one had her head in the reservation screen, never to look up). The service was friendly but spotty and inattentive. No one checked whether we liked our dishes. It took over 30 minutes for the mains to come out after the apps were removed. A glass of wine was brought to a guest at our table who didn’t order it. Yes, we were charged for it. The food was not great. The salad was over dressed with too much vinegar. The halibut with mashed potatoes and spinach was bland and flavorless. The environment was, frankly, awful - noise in the room was so loud that we had to shout to be heard, and the dining room was not full. An investment is acoustic tiles would surely make a huge difference. All in all, an expensive meal without the luxury experience. I would not return.

  Forte is truly one of Hackensack’s gems — an incredible Italian restaurant that never disappoints. I had an amazing experience during my recent visit. Our server, Devin, provided exceptional hospitality — attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He recommended the Chicken Francese, which was absolutely delicious, while my guest enjoyed the Spicy Rigatoni (which I couldn’t resist finishing for her!). The drinks were just as impressive — the three ladies behind the bar are phenomenal and always know how to craft a perfect cocktail. The atmosphere at Forte is unmatched: relaxed and elegant from Sunday through Thursday, and lively with an awesome DJ and great crowd on Fridays and Saturdays. Every visit reminds me why I love this place — from the food and drinks to the service and vibe, Forte delivers excellence across the board. Definitely my go-to spot and a place I’ll be a regular at moving forward!

  Great food! Prices are on the upscale side. Wait staff is on the friendly and well attentive. Bartenders on the other hand Is a different story, that's where it becomes complicated. Manager... okay Atmosphere is pleasant overall
