Unfortunately, the falafel were fried in an overused oil, as a middle eastern I can know the difference between a fresh falafel and old ones. Hopefully the management comes and check the oil, we love Mamoun’s falafel and we love to see the consistency in healthy food.
- YMYusuf MallufJan 4, 20261.0Service was friendly enough; I've eaten here a few times before and it was generally really good. Last night, I ordered a Manhattan pita. It did not come with baba ganouj or tabbouleh but did include an overwhelming amount of tahini. When I say overwhelming, I mean the sandwich was flooded with the stuff so much that it created a mess on the table when I opened the foil wrapping. When I first bit into the sandwich, I bit down hard on an olive pit. I took this out, and continued eating, then I bit down on ANOTHER olive pit. I asked the staff about this and they said "sorry but sometimes this happens". I've never had this happen with any sandwich I've had with olives and I suspect Mamoun's is cutting corners by pitting the olives themselves to save money. This is problematic when the food prep is very low quality (as evidenced by my sandwich). I will not be eating here again and will actively discourage other people from eating at this particular Mamoun's.
