Outstanding experience thanks to Chef Johnny
Had an incredible meal at BRIO Italian Grille, and a huge part of that was Chef Johnny. You can truly taste the care and passion he puts into every dish. Everything came out perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Chef Johnny clearly knows how to balance classic Italian flavors while keeping everything fresh and elevated. The consistency, attention to detail, and overall quality made this one of the best dining experiences I’ve had at Brio. If you’re dining here, you’re in great hands with Chef Johnny in the kitchen. I can’t wait to come back.

We used to go to Brio all of the time, then after covid it was different. We hadn't been in a while so figured we'd try again. The place was empty, maybe like 3 other tables when we were sat. It took over 10 minutes for someone to come over, then over 10 minutes for drinks to be brought. After dropping drinks the server just walked away instead of taking our orders. Then it was another 10ish minutes before they came back and took our order. Food was mediocre at best. Wedge salads were half wasted because half of the lettuce was brown. Shrimp and mushroom risotto was decent. Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken had zero flavor. The music playing was not fitting to the resturants atmosphere. Just an overall less than mediocre experience.

My family and I decided to spend Christmas Eve dinner here. Booked a reservation for 6pm and I’ll just say by 7:45pm we only still had water and bread at our table. I’m not sure who in particular would be responsible for this but the service overall was unacceptable. There were multiple times that our waitress and/or food runners plus the manager had brought out the wrong food to our table. We had ordered 3 alcoholic drinks that took over 45 minutes to get to our table, and we had to remind the server and manager what we exactly had ordered. Food wise… after waiting for over an hour and a half, the waitress had to ask us again about what food we ordered because apparently she had ‘wrote down the wrong item’. At the end of our dinner the manager of the restaurant had thankfully made it right for us, eliminating the check as a whole. I understand that it is the holiday, but it was just very unfortunate that we had planned to attend church at 8pm but could not make it due to how long everything took to get to our table. We would have never expected to be there for over 2 hours, and the table next to us was experiencing the same thing.

I will say, when we looked at the menu before coming in, we knew it was expensive even for Cherry Hill. $65 steaks on the specials menu, $20-$40 apps, and expensive drinks.
Our server was a young girl who not only took 10 min to bring water after asking (drinks came after appetizer) but she didn’t even know what craft beer was when the menu said to ask the server. Calamari was decent though.
My gf got a martini priced at $20 and swapped the grey goose for ketel one, and they added $11 onto the check for no reason which after asking about was removed.
7:45pm and as she came back to ask if we wanted entrees she told us kitchen was “out of bread for the table” - yeah we asked for the check and left.
If you’re in cherry hill looking to have an amazing Italian meal, go to Maggianos for better service. Might have just been the waitress though but I’m not chancing that again.

I have been to brio with my family multiple times over the course of the last few years and have NEVER had an issue until tonight. Service was horrendous, our server Briseylda L was barely present. There were zero check backs after the food was presented until the end where she asked us if we were "ready for the check". When given the check our server came up to us less than 5 minutes later asking us if we were "ready with the check" while we had it open and were looking at the bill. These were the only two questions asked since we had received our entrees. As someone who has worked in the food industry for many years now, i am disappointed in what little service we received tonight. And with such a hefty bill you would assume to get top tier service because youre paying for it. And of course the actual manager was not available and whoever did listen to our concerns was not able to do anything to rectify our negative experience. I will be telling my family and my friends to really consider if the price is worth the service next time they plan a banquet dinner. Very sad and disappointing!
