  This is my favorite most trusted Kings! Special shout out to Dan who is the ultimate, trusted deli guru who is always attentive to strict gluten free protocol for me ( new gloves, no cross contamination with wheat, rye, barley, etc.,) I was looking for the email address for Jennifer Wise who I discovered is the store manager— to recognize Dan personally and privately — but since her email does not appear on the website site nor on my receipt— I decided a proper public shout out was in order! (Also to help other celiacs like me!) Thanks to Dan for always taking excellent care of me during my weekly deli visits. I appreciate you! Thank you Jennifer, your store is immaculate, well stocked, and excellent quality. Best wishes to the Kings Bedminster staff for a very happy New Year! Kind regards, Lisa

  I don’t typically shop at Kings because I’ve had several poor experiences in the past, but since it’s close to my house I stopped in today to grab a few items for dinner. Unfortunately, this visit confirmed why I usually avoid this store. While checking out, one of my items rang up as $3.99 even though it was labeled on sale for $1.99. I saw an employee walking by, so I politely said “excuse me.” She looked directly at me and my boyfriend, then immediately turned around and walked away without saying a word. I followed her for a moment, thinking she didn’t hear me, but she proceeded to clock out and only then said she was off the clock. If she had simply told me her shift was over, I would have completely understood — but the way she ignored me was unnecessarily rude. I then went to the woman working the self-checkout area and explained that the item was scanning incorrectly that the item (typically 3.99), was on sale 1.99. Her response was, “no it isn't ,” followed by “those are always $3.99,” and "you saw it incorrectly" (I did not) ,all said with an attitude. When I offered to show her the sale tag, she insisted I must have looked at the wrong sign. She started to walk with me to check but halfway down the store said she “couldn’t leave her post,” so I took a photo instead and came back. She continued being dismissive and unhelpful. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager, not to cause a scene, but simply to let him know how the staff had treated me in hopes he could address it. I’ve worked in customer service since I was 16 and would never speak to customers that way. When I explained the situation, the manager brushed it off with, “everyone has bad days.” I completely understand that, but having two separate employees act this way in one visit, on top of my past experiences here, points to a much bigger issue than a “bad day.” There was zero accountability, zero concern, and no attempt to make it right. After today, I won’t be returning. Save yourself the frustration and go to The Fresh Market down the road , the staff there is consistently kinder and far more professional.

  My wife & I have been fairly long-time, loyal customers... and it saddened us seeing so many Kings Food Markets close, between Warren, Chatham, Bernardsville, etc., but we are so happy that the Bedminster location has stayed afloat, and in business... Everything is always super-fresh, well stocked, very clean, and they have a wide array of specialty items across the board. More recently, they hired a new Store Manager by the name of Jen, who is absolutely delightful, super-helpful, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, professional, lovely, and very down-to-earth! So that being said, this has rapidly become our new favorite supermarket in the area. Of course, some prices could be a tad bit cheaper, but that could easily be said for just about anything or anywhere! We've always had nothing but all-positive experiences and outstanding customer service at this location, with no snags or complaints whatsoever. And if anything was ever wrong (per se), the Manager would always make it up to their customer(s) in fine style, with 100% certainty. Enthusiastically recommended to all, 5-stars, and A+++++, coming from a fairly picky fella (me) 😉.
