I really struggle with the selection of merchandise at this store, the prices and some of the management hasn't been the most helpful in the past.

Can be a bit expensive but produce is generally good and the deli/prepared foods are worth the trip.

There is something deeply wrong with this store. The salespeople, especially at the lottery counter, are often either missing (supposedly on break) or refuse to step in and help while standing around doing nothing.
Just today, I tried to buy a lottery ticket, and the salesperson told me they were out of slips and that she would not sell more than one ticket because it “takes too much time to punch them in.” Why is she even standing there if she refuses to help customers? I left, went to a different store, did some shopping, and bought my lottery ticket there instead.
Advice to management: your choice of sales staff is troubling. This attitude is very common at your store. They act as if they’re doing customers a favor by helping them, when in reality they’re disengaged and unwilling to do the job they were hired for in the first place. Perhaps it is time to make some changes.

I was disappointed. I used to go to Kings all the time when I was younger. I'd say, over the last 10-15 years, their prices have jumped more than other grocery stores. I realize they are supposed to be more "high-end" and better quality, but that's not what I found. When I walked in a couple days ago, it was a ghost town. This particular store used to be packed. I went there needing to buy a lot of groceries for the week(I wasn't at home), and I walked out with an on sale Rotisserie chicken(which I'm getting my money back for), 5 yogurts, and a gallon of milk and some cookies. I spent about 30 dollars!
The chicken started turning green inside after 1 day in the refrigerator. The rest was fine, but I walked around looking at the prices and the selections(very minimal) and decided to go out of my way to ShopRite instead. It's a shame. The quality of the produce wasn't so hot either. I didn't even bother looking at the fish or meats.
Not the same place I remember at all.
