The atmosphere is inviting, the staff are friendly, and the menu has excellent variety for both breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The November seasonal drink was overwhelmingly milky with little flavor complexity. While the blueberry scone was good, the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich was disappointing..it had a disproportionately small sausage patty and tasted more like a reheated frozen breakfast sandwich than something freshly made. At nearly $25, I expected better execution to match the cafe’s reputation and price point. The welcoming environment is there, but the kitchen needs to elevate the food quality to match.
