I’ve heard about this restaurant for years and finally had the pleasure of enjoying it during a community event in December. The southern fried chicken and plantains were delicious. I need to try the whiting which smelled even better but sold out pretty early that day. I’ve never had slaw like that - it was also so delicious! Service was fine. I look forward to checking out the restaurant, hopefully during a non-peak time 😅

The young lady taking orders was very nice. She read my order back to me correctly because i didn't want any jerk sauce because I don't eat spicy food due to ulcers and got white garlic sauce for my shrimp bowl instead. After a 40 to 45 minute wait I finally received my food. I get back to work and take a bite and this is the hottest and most spicy food I've ate. My stomach is immediately in distress and I am sweating profusely. I call back and she remembers me and my order and says she is sorry about it, but not once did she say come back and we will make it right. Not that I wanted another, but its like we don't care about you or your wasted time and money. That alone tells me that this is the first and last time I will visit this place.

The meal was awesome! I ordered fried wings with cabbage/collars green combo, Mac n cheese . I ordered wings because it was a littler early in the day for oxtails. The wings were freshly prepared and hot! The greens were delicious!! The Mac n cheese was delicious. Small piece of delicious cornbread. No fountain or canned beverage…there were many varieties of Jamaican drinks costing close to $5. Only reason for less than 5 rating.
My spouse ordered jerk chicken. Delicious! Manage/collard and yams. He says his meal was great! He cleaned his plate! This is unusual. Long review. Great meal. Good music. Need fountain or can beverages.
Cashier was ok, just dry. Not a problem. I have told others. I will return! Few tables. Served as takeout but we got a table.

Food was really good. Very flavorful and great sized portions for what you pay. However we did wait an 1hr for the food. Granted this was during lunch hour so it may have just been why the wait was long. Service was alright wasn’t the worst wasn’t the best. But overall I would definitely recommend to a friend. I got the Catfish with mac and cheese and plantains and my husband tried the oxtail with jerk chicken and the parmesan frys. They were both very good! We will be back again. Hoping next time the wait isn’t long!

The food was delicious! But the customer service was horrific. The start the distasteful sign posted as you enter with “rules”. One stating “Sometimes the food is good, sometimes… it’s no. We’re human”. Not really something I would like to read entering a restaurant, food should be delicious each and every very visit, not on an occasional basis. Second, I waited over an hour for the food when I was told it would only be 20/25 minutes. After informing the cashier, a lady that was cooking loudly stated “I DONT HAVE NOBODY WAITING FOR AN HOUR” when clearly my ticket shows
I placed my order at 4:45pm and spoke with the cashier at 5:55pm. Situation should’ve been handled by management with a single apology or explanation on my hour wait. I like establishments where I feel appreciated as a patron of the business and I just don’t get that from this establishment. Better customer service and management would be recommended. Will not be returning because of that issue.
