I ordered a pick up order on 12/31 totaling $42. I arrived at the restaurant at the time it said my food would be ready . To my surprise the restaurant was closed but showing open on the website. I reached out to them the following day . I spoke to “HR” and the store manager about the issue . I expressed I would be willing to just accept the food. “HR” said to reach back out to the manager and he would get me straight. The manager stated “HR” said to just issue a refund he could not give me food . Today is 1/9 my refund still has not showed up in my account. Not good business at all. I’m not rich , I work in healthcare and I’m a single parent. I want my money

There is one young woman who works there who is always so kind and polite. The food is great, and they have daily specials. The prices are average and comparable to similar spots that serve this type of food. They are usually very quick with the order. Would recommend.

This was one of the worst places I have ever eaten at. So bad that I had to leave a review just to let people know. The greens and mac & cheese were just awful and the meat was very dry. It's nothing close to soul food, it's food you would serve in prison. Never going back here and telling all my friends to never dine here ever. Horrible place.

Reading the comments:
I don’t understand why the night shift isn’t matching the day shift. why tell customers if they want better food best come during the day ?
The food and restaurant experience for a customer should be equal and no different.
Disappointing customers with beans to sweet. Greasy food. Watery mac and cheese. Like if you have a restaurant where you have to get great service come during the day time only is ridiculous.
So It appears like the night crew don’t care about the food as much as the day crew.
night shift will serve bland and greasy food to customers just to get things done quickly to go home.
I hope the quality of the food has changed over the bad reviews given and the care for the food and restaurant for the night shift has changed.
High vibes & love should be tasted in the food.
Don’t cook if you have an attitude go home nobody wants to nasty food.
I read comments before ordering food.

Pros: Ample amoint of food for price paid for adult meal (flounder, rice and gravy, green beans)
Cons: Fish was too salty and the green beans were so sweet. I don't understand why sugar is added. For the price paid, it was a nice size; however, ultimately not worth it b/c i could only eat the rice and gravy.
I ordered a kid's meal also. The menu board stated it was 7.79. However, I paid 9.23. I questioned it and was first told l, yes it is 7.79 (plus tax) Then was told oh, the system says 8.59. Deceptive pricing and the value was not worth it. The price on the board should have been honored.
