I decided to try something different and got their “Chile relleno” and I’m putting that in quotes because it’s not even remotely close to a chile relleno. Picture below to show. It’s a pickled jalapeño that was filleted open, and wrapped in a fried egg. Totally not what I was hoping for, as a chille relleno is a different kind of pepper, stuffed with cheese and dipped in an egg white batter and fried. But no worries because I got an enchilada to go along with it, except it was so wet, the tortilla quite literally fell apart and resembled the texture of melted cheese. Not a huge fan of this meal. The saving grace of this meal was the rice and beans, those were wonderful and I ate them with the chips that came along with my meal. I’m not writing this review to bash, but so that others who want a Chile relleno don’t go in expecting one and receive whatever this was instead. 3/5 due to the beans and rice being good. Photo below is the pepper and the egg from my “Chile relleno” and the mushed up stuff on the side is the remainder of the tortilla from the enchilada which I didn’t finish eating because the texture was so wet.
