Killer roast beef sandwiches since 1967.
The recipe for our famous roast beef sandwich is simple: 100% real top round beef. Slow roasted on-site for three hours. Shaved extra thin. Served medium rare on a lightly toasted buttered bun. And topped with a dash of secret seasoning. It’s the same way we’ve done it for over 50 years. As real as it gets.
Voted Best Fries by St. Louis Magazine.

Another stop in a tour of “local” fast food restaurants across the country. A little disclaimer: my girlfriend has been vegetarian for years, but recently started eating meat again and I haven’t had roast beef in years, so this was both of our first experiences with roast beef that we can remember. We got the southwest cheddar melt meal to split. The sandwich itself had good flavor and tasted like you would expect (and want) it to, but the roast beef by itself tasted kind of bland and watery, so we weren’t a fan of it. The fries were kind of bland with almost no seasoning, but they did taste fresh and like potatoes. There was a caddy by the register with what looked like sandwich toppings like sauerkraut in sealed to go containers and they had a plethora of free self serve sauces to choose from, which was really cool and great for dipping the fries. The menu had a lot of variety and had we been hungrier and had more time, I would’ve wanted to try a few of the other items like the Italian beef sandwich. We went during lunch time and there was a constant flow of people, so I’d guess it’s a local favorite and I can see why! Overall, it was a good experience even though, personally we weren’t fan of the roast beef. I did deduct 1 star because the prices seemed really high for some items especially compared to their natural competitor, Arby’s.

To fully enjoy the Lion's Choice experience one must dine in and take advantage of the condiments. This is a reliable stop just off I-70 for a good meal. Please maintain the standard so I can continue to say Lion's Choice blows away Arby's.

The staff was quite friendly on 6:30 PM on Monday, Nov. 10th. The order was correct, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. That said I will try them again and order something else. I did see a deer or a unicorn in one of the tables, and a Lion logo burned into the table. Thank you
