  Me and my buddy got the oxtail dinner with cabbage, rice and beans, collard greens and yams and when I tell you this food is seasoned well, i mean it. I come from eating food very similar to this growing up and the spices/auroma this food has is unmatchable. If this is your first time trying this, look no further, this will end up being the best you can find right now in metro detroit.

  Authentic Caribbean Cuisine is the best Jamaican food you will find in America! The oxtail meat is juicy and tender, the plantain perfectly cooked and the rice and peas fluffy and delicious. The beef patty is packed with flavor. The food is filling and portions very generous. You will not go home hungry after eating here!!! The owner is a very kind and polite man, the service was spectacular. He has several acclaimed awards for a good reason! That being said, great food and great service may need some patience. Every dish is made with love which means you aren't just getting the slop from off the grill. Sit back, relax, enjoy the atmosphere and let him work his magic. 10/10 will definitely coming back every time I am in Troy.

  Our first time ordering, and the food is amazing. Granted, it took two hours before the order was ready to be delivered by DoorDash, it was well worth the wait. I ordered the curry goat meal, and it was superb. I’ll be ordering that again! My husband had the oxtails dinner. Here is a quote from my husband, “The food was incredible worth the wait and the price. Rice and peas awesome, plantains delicious seasoned very good. Beef patties are very authentic.” Our daughter loved the Rasta Pasta, the beef patty, but her and hubby felt that the Jerk Chicken was too spicy. He utilized red snapper because he didn’t have any salmon, but that was totally fine. We WILL be back.

  My finance and I dined here today for the first time. We ordered the boneless jerk chicken and oxtail meals (comes with red beans and rice, cabbage, plantains) beef patties, rasta pasta, and a sour sop juice. Everything was made to order, fresh, and down right phenomenal. Chatting with Chef Nev made the experience a bit more personalized and you could tell he truly has a passion for what he does!! We will definitely be doing here again. Of note, please pack your patience as the chef is literally running a one man show.

  Best beef patties I've had outside of Jamaica. Authentic made from scratch food. Order ahead and plan for a longer wait than you might be used to as it is a one person operation. Food is well worth the extra wait. Be patient and enjoy!
