This place isn't the same anymore. My family and I have been coming here for YEARS. It was one restaurant when we came to the Lansing area we were going to eat at "Mitchell's fish market" it meant gold to my ears. But now, everything is over priced and portions are small. Our waitress was not very attentive, in Visits past we've gotten a hello from the older gentleman manager but he did not even come over this time to say hello. Overall let down. Food was just meh. Salmon was over cooked, I got a chocolate butter cake for dessert, boring and disappointing. Drinks have always been a strong point for this restaurant so that's 1 thing going for them. This used to be such a highlight for us to come here.

This place is awesome. I had the clam chowder and it was extremely flavorful. The food came out quickly and the server Kyle always made sure our drinks were topped off and our needs were consistently taken care of. Definitely a good place to go for events or just for solid food!

Gabe made sure that my family member had a wonderful time for her birthday. They even printed her name on the menu 👏🏽 The food was amazing, starting with bacon wrapped shrimp to delicious lobster bisque to Crab and Shrimp entree and the extraordinary desserts ! The cocktails were well made 👌🏾 The service provided by Gabe is outstanding and the whole experience is lovely !

My wife and I go to Mitchell's fish market two to three times a year and love it, but now its Mitchell's seafood house and it is not the same. First off the menu is smaller and the portion size is smaller, there's no alacart menu section and no options to add anything like lobster or scallops to your meal. The drinks were great and were made perfectly. The food on the other hand was sub-par at best I got the asian seafood sampler and my wife got the seafood Americana. My food was all over cooked the shrimp was rubber, the scallops were small, and the salmon was about 3ozs and over cooked. I mean for $39 dollars you get 3 shrimp, 3 tiny scallops, and 3ozs of over cooked salmon. Really disappointing. My wife's meal was also over cooked and just looked like they just put everything in a pan and cooked it till it was over done and put it on a plate. Also not one person in the kitchen was wearing gloves not even the guy making the salads. The server was great and did a wonderful job and earned every bit of her tip. And the rest of the staff did good as well. All in all it was not the Mitchell's we were used to and not at the standard we were used to, maybe thats because of the rebranding or them trying to save money. Also they tried to sell us on this reward program where you buy it for 25 dollars and get it back later by going to other restaurants and businesses that they are affiliated with which made the restaurant itself seem cheap. Mitchell's fish market was a in my opinion a classy place, but Mitchell's seafood house is but a shell of its former glory. I say this not to be mean but just as a disappointment of what this restaurant has turned into.

Stopped in today on a road trip and enjoyed a delicious lunch. The blackened salmon, scallops, shrimp and scallion mashed potatoes were excellent. So much yum! The service was slightly wonky but I'm sure the server was just having an off day. Hadn't been to Mitchell's in 20+ years due to relocation. Still has same great food of my memories. Gentleman grey haired manager was kind and approachable. We'll be back!
