- BTBreanna Thomsen1 day ago2.0I visited Anna’s House for breakfast this morning after many months away, and unfortunately the experience fell short of what used to be my favorite spot. My food came out quickly, but the quality just wasn’t there. I ordered the Cook’s Sandwich, and the bread was barely toasted while half the avocado was black and mushy. The home fries were also undercooked. Even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy, it took several minutes for my server to check in. He did offer to remake the dish right away, which I appreciated, but I chose to order something different instead. My second order came out promptly and was much better. We were seated at a very small table for two, even though many dishes here come with multiple plates and plenty of larger tables were available. I also finished my coffee early on and wasn’t offered a refill until I was getting ready to leave. Overall, this visit didn’t match the consistently great experiences I’ve had at Anna’s House in the past. I was really excited to return, especially for my favorite breakfast sandwich, so it was disappointing. I couldn’t help but wonder if this dip in quality is why the restaurant was only half full.
