What a shame that such a beautiful and favorite store of many in the area, has such poor customer service.
Yesterday I was doing my shopping for the week in that store and I was attended by an African-American woman named Arleisha who since she saw me I could see how her face changed dramatically. She was attending to two African-American gentlemen in the best possible way and when it was my turn, she started with her long face, she couldn’t understand me when I talked to her and she just didn’t answer, she reluctantly began to put my things in each bag with a very noticeable contempt, two of my bags even broke since I bought heavy things like meat and cans etc. The thing was that as soon as the next customer arrived, he was obviously NOT HISPANIC and who brought a few light things, she put a double bag on him as the cashier next door did with her customers and changed her face from hatred and contempt to happy, kind and smiling. Even the client just looked at me I think with pity. It hurts me what is happening, because regardless of whether we are from here or not, the simple fact of being Hispanic makes us vulnerable, apparently many African Americans have forgotten their history as well as Mrs. ARLEISHA. This world is God’s and He gave us the freedom to be here. God bless Safeway, but those applications need more information before hiring. 😔😭💔

IF YOU WANT DELIVERY, CHOOSE ANOTHER SAFEWAY
The staff here who deal with online orders genuinely slack off. This has happened twice where I placed an order with a delivery window that is several hours away, yet they decide NOT to shop for my order. They really do not care and will not do anything until the next day.
If you're in a rush and need groceries delivered, USE ANOTHER SAFEWAY. The people here are incompetent.

DONT PLACE MOBILE ORDERS HERE
The people working at this store, specifically the online order department, are beyond incompetent. I’ve had the same thing happen twice now where they just decide they’re not going to fill my order and go home for the night without so much as a phone call or notification. Front end and managers are absolutely no better. My order was supposed to be ready by 1800. I called at 1900, they said there was ONE person in front of me before they filled my order. An hour later (2000), called again the front desk said they went home for the day LOL. HELLO. I literally have no words.
Google pls make a zero star option on here, one star is far too generous

The best stocked and manage Safeway in DMV. The deli could stand improvement in customer service. As everytime i was made to wait while employees chatted or did chores. It is a shame that it is not performing like the wonderful store it's loaded in. I am very happy with the improvements and customer service. Ive never had a complaint with the goods. They also keep it very clean.

I’ve been shopping here for years, today was my last day.
I always use self checkout, I know where the line forms and I know how the process works.
There was no one in the line and I walked over to an open register. A man came blazing in from another direction and took the open spot on the far side. He only had two items so I figured I would wait it out rather than turn around and go back to the waiting area, because now there was a line behind me.
I had to be publicly brow beaten, not just once by the clerk, but then by someone who I assume was the front in manager after her, because clearly I was not following protocol. I tried to explain it to both of them, but I guess there is an absolute assumption that I was guilty, not the guy who never got in line in front of me.
I’ve always gone out of my way to be nice to everyone there and well…I guess I see how that works now.
My preference would have been to privately submit this, but your website doesn’t seem to have that option.
