  I called Aroma in the morning to make sure they were open, and they confirmed that they were. Later that evening, I went there with my friends to celebrate my birthday. When we walked in, I noticed some birthday balloons, but I didn’t think much of it at first. I asked the hostess if we could be seated, but she just looked at us, confused. I then asked if there was a party going on, and she said yes. I asked again about seating, and she told us they were only offering outdoor seating. Since it was a little chilly, I asked my friends if they were okay with sitting outside or at least grabbing some drinks. Everyone agreed, but then she told us they weren’t serving drinks at that time. So I said, “Okay, we’ll just eat,” and asked if we could be seated outside. She looked at us like she didn’t even want to bother, At that point, I decided to leave. If the restaurant was focused on hosting a private birthday party, they should’ve either shut down for the night or clearly communicated that they wouldn’t be serving regular customers. The lack of communication and the way we were treated was really disappointing…especially on my birthday!

  Gorgeous place. Very nice attentive staff. Love their curry goat and jollof rice. The waitress is soooo sweet. 10/10

  The day I stopped by there it was empty the staff was not allowed to serve alcohol at the time which might explain the low affluence. Food was good service also

  Me and my bf were in this place for about 5 mins and walked right out. Me and my boyfriend were excited to try this place out. We went on Juneteenth. There was a bunch of kids in there for some reason and we asked for a drink menu, the 1 person that was working there said they are not serving alcoholic drinks. We immediately left.

  Went to aroma last week, it was the first time ordering food. Arrived at Seven around 730 I tried to order drinks and they said that they don’t start serving drinks till 8. 🤨 So I ordered a virgin cocktail along with the person I was with, I ordered goat curry, and he ordered fish. I kid you not, about 30 minutes later, they brought the curry goat with no drink. I noticed what appeared to be the manager getting loud and arguing with staff. One of the staff members with catering to someone whose birthday party was wrapping up, and she was sitting across from me. We tried to get her attention several times to bring a drink because eating the curry goat, I was very thirsty and she said one moment, please But never did anything about it. We started seeing other customers complain and finally got the managers eye contact, and he brought my drink after I had finished my food. Now mind you the person I was with got his food about 30 minutes after mine with no drink and no utensils. Finally, we convinced the lady to give us utensils Which she did. Oddly enough, a staff person came up to us while we were waiting for our food asking what we ordered and when we told her that we already put in our order, she started to argue with us saying I just wanted to know what you ordered so I can bring it. Mind you at this time we were the only one that had ordered food. I noticed another customer Walking in from the patio with his card because he was irritated that no one came to check on him for his hookah. I noticed a couple also come in and after not being served or even asked for their order for 20 minutes, they left. It was a horrible experience, considering that there was barely anyone there and the large birthday party they had had ended, which is no excuse. Surprisingly the curry goat was very good and the fish was a little salty, but overall good. It’s a shame that the customer service was a zero out of five. Just based off of service alone, I cannot come back. They didn’t even come out and apologize or take anything off the tab. We were very disappointed And will not be back.
