A true hidden gem in a tourist area!
As a local, I usually avoid restaurants in tourist spots, but this place completely surprised me. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was outstanding. Special shoutout to Grownmecole, the bartender — he’s polite, fun to talk to, and always on top of things, making sure everything is taken care of in a timely manner.
Definitely check out their happy hour — the deals are unbeatable, hands down. This spot turned out to be an amazing find, and I’ll absolutely be back!

O’Brien’s on West Street — Grapefruit Crush Royalty & Oyster Redemption
Pulled up to the legendary Oyster Happy Hour Bar and let me tell you, they still know how to throw a punch in a glass.
Nick leveled up with a Grapefruit Crush + Hennessy, and it slapped. I went classic Grapefruit and it was sharp, cold, citrus-smooth perfection. Oysters Rockefeller? Piping hot, buttery, breadcrumb heaven. You could hear angels humming in the shell.
Now let’s talk Brandon—our server. Absolute pro. Knew the menu, nailed the recommendations, and kept the vibe high without hovering. Give that man a raise or the first dozen oysters off the next tray.
We’re seasoned—we know better than to mess with winter crab. But oysters in Annapolis? That’s a year-round religion.
O’Brien’s delivered. West Street still holds court.

We came during happy hour and sat at the bar. My husband and enjoyed a Loose Cannon and I ordered an Old Fashioned. Next time I’ll know to specify this drink. Muddling the orange and cherry (?) is a crime. Nice to note the bartender strained it when I asked him. 40 years of drinking and this was a first.
The owner should hire more workers or conduct drug tests. I don't know if half of the wait staff called in sick that week but we were shocked at how sloppy and erratic the service was.
