Seldom, if ever, have the salmon, haddock, cod or others they advertise in consumable condition. When not completely out-of-stock, the fish is OLD: separated flesh, smelly. And if you trouble yourself to ask for a rain check, they Never get what you want before the 30-day validity of the rain check expires. You Suck!

- WPWill ParksJan 25, 20261.0UPDATE: After checking my receipt again for the transaction where Shaw's sold me 3-month-expired cheese, it turns out they also overcharged me for a bunch of items that were marked as being on sale. So, I guess you've got to worry about getting overcharged for your expired food due to incorrect signage. Lines are short, but check your expiration dates before you check out - either they're putting out product that's already been expired by months (literally with last year's date, purchased Jan 23rd), or just failing to check it for months on the shelf. I used to think it was worth it to avoid how hectic MB is, but if you slip up even once on checking for something expired, this is what you get. Just about every type of product that has an expiration date, I've found expired on the shelves of this Shaw's. Bread, cheese, sauces, chips/snacks, deli meats, hot dogs - you name it, I've picked it up, checked the date, and had to set it back, where someone else probably ended up buying it. I used to try and draw attention to it - say, moving expired cheese or deli meats off the shelf and onto the bottom of the cooler they're in, and mentioning it during checkout - but it would always just be reshelved the next time I shopped. I'm not really willing to put up with this amount of gross food and wasted money anymore, so I guess no more Shaw's for me.
