There seems to be a trend of hating reviews popping up from people who only write 1 star reviews because something didn't go their way, I don't get it. The security guard here is unproblematic and provided by the capital one HQ, not the store itself. To the "Sam Spade" user (who again, only writes 1 star reviews) and anyone like them: get your facts right before you make yourself look dumb. I and other customers WANT security here after having too many experiences with people coming in and make the environment uncomfortable and unsafe (people who come in threatening customers and staff or stand outside and yell at us).
Re: Sam Spade concerns, this is a fairly small store and anyone standing in the cafe will be next to tables and customers if they themselves are not at a table, there's no where else to go. And in the photo that was posted, the security guard is SITTING at a table by himself, not stalking customers like you imply.
Dear Capital One, please keep security in your stores. It is needed and makes things much more comfortable
Drinks are good here.

More than creepy, rather aggressive actually, that the coffee shop's manager has a security guard watching customers near where they are sitting. I've walked by, seeing the guard standingright next to some occupied tables. Mgt 101: surveillance in person of paying customers is overkill.

I felt compelled to write this after seeing the recent poor review which includes multiple false allegations. I'm a student here, so I go a few times a week and I know that most of the complaints in the latest review are blatantly false. The staff here are great and unless you require banking services or seek their help, they don't force anything. They cafe staff are efficient and always get my order right.
This location DOES NOT have high turnover as the low rated review states, most if not all staff have been the same for at least the past two school years that I've been here. The banking staff here are helpful when needed, but if you don't require banking help they do not bother you aside from greeting you. They're quite friendly as I have seen many people approach them just to chat or ask questions. They do have to step when someone is being disruptive or otherwise causing issues, but I put the fault on this on the actual corporate entity of Capital One and not the actual staff in the cafe.
Some suggestions for the decision makers at Capital One to prevent unfair reviews and confusion in the cafes: 1) put large and clear signage in reservation-only or banking-only spaces (the small squares basically don't do anything to prevent people in spaces they shouldn't be in); 2) allow these rooms to be locked by staff so people don't feel entitled to these spaces; 3) publicize in the cafe AND online what services are actually possible at cafe locations; 4) don't allow outside food/beverages; 5) require a cafe purchase or banking question to use the space. The latter two are personal gripes I have with the Capital One entity as it's annoying to walk into the cafe, make a purchase and then not have an open table because there are a bunch of people posted up with sweetgreen or Starbucks (RIP)
In conclusion, the last 1 star review is full of lies and inconsistencies. Capital One decision makers need to make improvements that actually create a good environment for cafe customers and staff. Finally the banking/cafe staff on the ground do a 10/10 job given the orders they have to follow.
Added photos I took of the current special menu and the cafe seating in case Google/Capital One tries to discredit my review lol

Completely awful service where you get profiled and made to feel unwelcomed. It was slow and not that many people were in there and now I see why. After their sales people kept bothering us because we were exploring the "complimentary" rooms that were unused and had no reservations at the time, we will for sure be canceling our multiple credit cards along with switching over our checking and investment accounts. Combined that'll be 6 accounts lost from my family to a better competitor.
They have high turnover of associates here and tend to attract these used car dealership type of customer service reps. These reps literally followed us around and acted like they were policing the grounds. The location at Assembly is much more courteous, they lack proper training here so maybe it's a management issue.

Love all the locations but this one especially as i was visiting from Chicago needed to make a deposit. Took an Uber was very unfamiliar with the area. One of the staff cutie with platinum hair was so so helpful. He took the time to walk outside to help. I am truly grateful. The cafe was great also but good customer service is such a rarity these days. Thank you. 🙏
