Loved this place! My wife and I came in and they treated us like somebody special even though we're just plain white trash. I had the Braciolitine Calabrese and it was divine. Just the right amount of cheese rolled up with the veal. The sauce was phenomenal. I probably should have gotten some pasta to go with it, but I was trying to save room. Instead, I found myself soaking the bread in it. My wife had the Pollo Lucia. It was delightfully fresh and bright. We got a cannoli to go so we could walk and eat it on the way to the next thing. Before he would give it to us, he made sure we understood that it would only be good for an hour before it lost its crunchiness. I really appreciated that. The cannoli was rich and not overly sweet like some folks make it. Highly recommend!

We stopped in for fortification while following the Freedom Trail. Variety of Martinis drew our eye and Espressso, Peanutbutter and Lemoncelli martinis were all tried and were excellent. Christian was a wonderful host, so much so we booked for dinner later that night.
Returning later that evening, the restaurant was buzzing. Christian was very attentive and guided us on options to suit our dietary needs.
Loved the food, the service and the atmosphere. Thank you for a great evening!

Not good experience, to be fair the ingredients are fresh, but all dishes were blend, and in addition the price you pay is not what you get, I ordered Papá Celestino, no salt at all, and vegetables not cooked, the sauce was ok, lobster ravioli overcooked and very simple presentation, the service was nice but overwhelming they ask you if you don’t like it just because you don’t finish in a pushy way, and the check was in my table 15 mins after I asked for it twice, not recommended guys. I’m sorry

My husband and I made a quick trip to Boston, and I was craving cannoli. On our way to the Freedom Trail, I saw this place on the corner that claimed to have the best of everything. I was skeptical, but on our way back from the trail, we stopped by so I could get my cannoli, and let me tell you, it was, in fact, the BEST cannoli I’ve ever had in my life! Fresh, light, delicious. Simply perfect. It was the first time my husband tried cannoli as he never had any interest in it and he loved it! I wish we’d had more time, but we were on a tight schedule. We already know that whenever we visit Boston again, we’ll be stopping by Filippo Ristorante & Bar for a full meal and more cannoli!

We walked into Filippo’s at approximately 8:45 pm on a Sunday. We didn’t know they closed at 9 pm , nor did Christian (a national treasure if you ask us) make us feel unwelcome or that we needed to go. How we ended up at Filippos: We were recommended another restaurant by our concierge and we were not thrilled so we ordered a quick drink and split, then set on foot (without reservations) to Filippos. Christian was amazing, engaging, and we had him choose our meal. It was the BEST happenstance moment of our trip and ended such a lovely time in Boston on the highest note. Go to Filippos. Sit at the bar. Talk to Christian. Let him order your meal. Most memorable (and delicious) food and experience in Boston. Thank you Christian!
