This establishment was BUSY, but we found room at the bar, and the bartenders are super efficient and friendly. My martini was a bit short for $22 but tasty. I got a soft shell crab poboy and it was perfectly made and well spiced. The atmosphere was upbeat and the location is within the heartbeat of NOLA.

The food was decent and the service was great, but holy moly was this place expensive for what it was. The value was just not there. Half dozen oysters, order of jambalaya, order of gumbo, and one beer. We somehow spent nearly $100 with tip on two people on what should've been more like $50. No thanks.

I asked a random local for a brewery and without hesitation he said Crescent City Brew. All beers brewed in house (except for one). I tried the flight and enjoyed the variety of flavors. I grabbed the chicken sandwich and it was properly fried with loads of sauce. I highly recommend it for anyone.

You walk into this place and watch the bartender pour a beer in a way that you've never experienced in your life. You might think to yourself this guy doesn't know what he's doing. But the truth is, that's how beer is meant to be poured and served!
A lot of history in this place.
The food looks decent but the beer is perfect.
Definitely stopping here for one or two when you're out and about.

A couple of nights ago we visited here as our first stop in New Orleans.
Our server wasn’t attentive and we had to wait quite a long time for refills on our drinks.
The garlic parm fries were nasty, had zero flavor, and cold.
At the time of our checkout the server got our three separate checks confused, so it took a long time to check out. Shit happens.
After everything was said and done a few days later we noticed our card was charged TWICE.
Spoke to Jodie who was very nice and expressed that we’d be able to get a refund and gave us Tess’s number (office lady) to do so.
After speaking with Tess, she asked “why can’t your friends just Venmo you???”
She was very passive aggressive, very rude and refused a refund.
As someone who manages a restaurant myself it was super unprofessional and not how you handle these situations. It was YOUR restaurant staffs mistake.
Not that it matters, but we will not be returning.
Moral of the story, check your bank statements, don’t get the parm fries, and don’t expect professionalism from Tess.
